Just leave it behind: Moving company teams with e-cycler

When are you most likely to want to get rid of stuff, including e-waste?

NorthStar Moving figures that is something you worry about most when you are about to move your household or relocate your businesss. So the company has teamed up with E-Cycle Environmental to offer a tech recycling service that helps people dispose of unwanted computers, televisions and other consumer electronics gadgets as they pack up. The environmental disposal service is something that you can have included in your overall moving expenses.

The catch is that both companies are based in California and are very West Coast-centric with their services, so I’m not sure what good this will do for anyone east of the Rockies. Nonetheless, a good idea that other moving companies would be smart to emulate.

A Note from NorthStarMoving

Thanks for the post, Heather! We are really excited about teaming up with E-Cycle environmental, a domestic recycler that is helping our clients avoid shipping waste off to third world countries. Although we are based out of LA, we?re happy to move people from California to anywhere in the world and vice versa. Our company is expanding services across the country and hope that other moving companies follow our lead and jump on the green truck!
