In the name of charity, actress Kristy Swanson, best-known for playing the original Buffy Summers in the film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as starring roles in Big Daddy and Skating with Celebrities, donated her Hollywoodworn, designer dresses and clothing to NorthStar Moving Corporation’s “Drive For the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation,” a 501-c3 organization that hosts charity auctions showcasing celebrity attire with proceeds benefiting various children’s charities. Kristy donated 44 ensembles and an astounding 41 of them sold on the foundation’s site. The auction attracted fans from across the country and around the world, including Australia and Canada. Proceeds from the auction benefited Clothes Off Our Backs’ charities, including Feeding America, the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA, and Malaria No More and Hope North.
