After you check out these amazing shots you\u2019ll want to start packing your recycled moving boxes and head to the greenest city in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.popsci.com\/environment\/article\/2008-02\/americas-50-greenest-cities?page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Popular Science<\/a>, Portland is America\u2019s top green city with half its power coming from renewable sources, a quarter of the workforce commutes by bike, carpool or public transportation, and it has 35 buildings certified by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usgbc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Green Building Council<\/a>. Most popular restaurants proudly serve organic food items as many Portlanders would find in their own organic farm. However, great Portland cuisine doesn&#8217;t stop there, Portland has been hit by the fashionable and delicious wave of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodcartsportland.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Food Carts<\/a>, that is you can enjoy anything from waffles and chicken to gourmet grilled cheese as you walk through the city. Can you imagine yourself taking an afternoon stroll through this garden? With the Portland MAX Light Rail, city buses and the Portland streetcar, moving around here is a breeze.
