Valentine\u2019s Day is almost here! Get moving<\/a>, love birds. It\u2019s time to be snuggled in flowers and chocolates! Valentine\u2019s Day is filled with love. There’s no better way to show your love for this beautiful planet than going green this Valentine’s Day. Here’s how I’m greening my Valentine’s Day presents:<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with my favorite Valentine\u2019s Day gift, chocolate<\/strong>! Instead of regular processed chocolates, go green with organic chocolates<\/a>. These yummy Valentine’s Day truffles even come in heart-shaped boxes<\/a>! Also, make sure the chocolate you buy comes from a Fair Trade<\/a> source and is Rainforest Alliance Certified<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Flowers<\/strong> are another Valentine\u2019s Day staple. Even though cut flower bouquets come from the earth, they aren’t usually eco-friendly and sustainable. Many flowers are produced under not-so-lovely conditions, but don\u2019t worry! There are plenty of green flowers to buy for Valentine\u2019s Day. Try purchasing fair trade flowers<\/a>. You can get them at a farmers market or markets like Whole Foods<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You can make your flower purchase as green as possible by ditching the cut flowers altogether. Buy a plant that can be planted in the ground or kept as a houseplant. Your Valentine’s Day love will last forever, just like your Valentine’s Day plant!<\/p>\n

When you think of Valentine\u2019s Day, I\u2019m sure a romantic dinner<\/strong> comes to mind. Nothing says Valentine\u2019s Day like a delicious meal with your valentine. Staying with the green trend, make a dinner that is eco-friendly and delicious. You can use organic ingredients to make the perfect meal for you and your valentine.
