It doesn’t matter which island you choose. Each one is full of rich culture and history that is sure to take your mind off the stress of normal life. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal seaside as you drift off into sweet daydreams full of coconuts and little pink umbrellas. Fly south this winter and get moving to your Caribbean Vacation!<\/p>\n

Caribbean Vacation: Island Spotlight<\/h2>\n

The U.S. Virgin Islands<\/a> is one of my favorite spots in the Caribbean. It consists of\u00a0three\u00a0islands:\u00a0St. Thomas<\/a>, St. John<\/a> and St. Croix<\/a>. They each have their own distinct qualities. If you’re into hiking, take a trip to St. Thomas and traverse the hills and trails of Rock City. A trip to one of St. Croix’s sugar plantations or rum distilleries<\/a> will hit your sweet spot.<\/p>\n

Feeling adventurous? Visit the Cayman Islands<\/a>\u00a0and kickstart your Caribbean Vacation. Hike through the Mastic Trail<\/a> and experience the wonders of attractions over 200 years old. Take things to the next level and visit Stingray City<\/a>…if you dare! For the more reclusive traveler\u00a0Cayman Brac or Little Cayman are great spots for diving<\/a>. They’re full of tons of marvelous coral reefs and are less touristy than some other islands.<\/p>\n

Go for the fun or go for the rum. I’m talking about Barbados<\/a> of course! It is famous for its numerous rum shops all over the island. Adventure through one of its magnificent underground lakes<\/a>. \u00a0Learn about some of the most unique animals in the Caribbean. Enjoy a game of Cricket<\/a>, head to a party, or take in the stunning\u00a0multicultural inspired architecture<\/a>. Head to the beach \u00a0and hit the surf<\/a> or try an exquisitely prepared meal in St. Lawrence Gap<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Caribbean is full of romantic getaways, ecotourism, and places to fish, but only the Bahamas<\/a> will give you all that and so much more. For the real Bahamian taste visit a local shop<\/a> and gorge on deep-friend conch, johnnycakes, and other island treats. Venture<\/a> through the colorful blue holes and see the ocean as you’ve never seen it before. I can’t mention some of my favorite Caribbean islands without mentioning Curacao<\/a>. Sometimes called\u00a0the Caribbean’s hidden treasure, Curacao is full of sights, attractions, and wonders.\u00a0Visit the kaleidoscopic city of Willemstad<\/a>. Let the colors take you in as you travel the streets and are transported back in time. Scuba dive<\/a> and see for yourself why Curacao is\u00a0one of the world\u2019s biggest scuba diving destinations. Go before Lent and witness the spectacular Carnival <\/a>displays.<\/p>\n
