Los Angeles has a lot of events that can help you celebrate Thanksgiving and begin the new holiday season. Let\u2019s celebrate this Thanksgiving the California way!<\/p>\n

Thanksgiving Weekend: Ice Skating<\/h2>\n

Located on Pershing Square, this ice rink opens up mid-November and ends in late January. Whether you like figure skating, hockey, or a casual stroll down the rink, the Holiday Ice Rink<\/a> will let you skate to your heart\u2019s content. The rink will allow you to skate for an hour at a time. They will even let you rent figure or hockey skates if you are just starting out. If your little one doesn\u2019t know how to skate, they can get a Skate Helper to teach them how. In addition to this Thanksgiving weekend, the ice rink will be open during all major holidays that are happening during the winter season, so suit up and enjoy!<\/p>\n

This marathon offers a scenic 5k or 10k run to all those who are interested. The best part? You get to dress up as a turkey and run around LA with practically zero social repercussions. As always, try to be green on the way to this event! You can ride to the race and back using the red and purple Metro lines for a small fee. Use this Thanksgiving weekend to be thankful<\/a> for the lost calories and increased metabolism!<\/p>\n\n

Fun for the whole family, you can spend this Thanksgiving weekend attending a star-studded event, complete with celebrities and marching bands. In addition to that, your kiddos have a chance to see their favorite cartoon characters up close in the form of giant balloons.<\/p>\n
