Chag Sameach! Looks like we are getting to celebrate Hanukkah<\/a> a bit earlier this year. Celebrate with me as we upcycle and create cute Hanukkah crafts. Some of these crafts are so easy, even the little ones can get in on the fun!<\/p>\n

Hanukkah Crafts: Make Your Own Dreidel<\/h2>\n

Although these dreidels aren\u2019t made out of clay, they certainly are fun to create. These Hanukkah crafts\u00a0are cinch for kids to make themselves, and they can design them anyway that they want! There are a couple of ways that you can make your own dreidel. One way is to make it with paper and a little bit of glue. Cut out the shape of the dreidel (you can get a template from this site<\/a>,) cut along the outside lines and fold along the inside lines. Put a small amount of glue onto the dashed line areas and press into place. You\u2019re done! A much easier way is to take an old moving box<\/a>, cut a small square from it, and stick a sharp pencil in the center. You can spin this around just like a regular dreidel! Hanukkah Crafts: Festive Sun Catchers<\/h2>\n

Fun, quick and easy to make, these sun catchers are sure to catch the eye. All you need are some Popsicle sticks, glue and some craft tissue paper. Of course, knowing me, I just upcycled some packing paper and decorated it with my own designs! You can also spruce these up a bit by painting the Popsicle sticks and making little beaded loops so you can hang them by the window! Hanukkah Crafts: Upcycled Menorahs<\/h2>\n

This final holiday craft may be a bit too hard for the kiddos, but just right for you! You\u2019ll get to upcycle some empty glass baby food containers, or any other multitude of small glass containers you may have lying around. The insides are dyed with food coloring gel, and the lids are spraypainted silver. There are more in-depth instructions featured on the creator\u2019s site here.
