Time to bust out the red, white and blue! Los Angeles is one of the best places to live in the world, and the 4th<\/sup> of July<\/a> is just one bit of what makes it great. These are some of my most favorite things to do with the family for Independence Day.<\/p>\n

Independence Day in Grand Park<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s a block party happening downtown<\/a>! The 4th<\/sup> of July Block Party at Grand Park<\/a> features food trucks, fireworks and fab tunes. The event is free for everyone, so all you have to do is brave the downtown parking experience. Not interested in getting food truck grub from the area? You\u2019re welcome to pack your own picnic for the event. The party starts early at 2pm, and last until 9:30pm, so you can spend you can spend your whole afternoon with your friends and family.<\/p>\n

Independence Day in Marina Del Rey<\/h2>\n

Can you think of a more classic way to celebrate Independence Day than watching some fireworks? Marina Del Rey\u2019s<\/a> firework show is a free event<\/a> for everyone! The fireworks will be a 20 minute display synchronized to music playing over loudspeakers. The show starts at 9pm, so it\u2019ll be dark outside. Make sure to bring glow sticks for the kiddos!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Independence Day at the Rose Bowl<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re in San Gabriel Valley<\/a>, consider making the Rose Bowl your destination this 4th<\/sup> of July. AmericaFest<\/a> in an annual event with fireworks, good food and more. Parking can get a bit pricey, but coming early means that you get to participate in some awesome tailgating parties and cookouts in the parking lot. The entertainment in the actual stadium includes musical performances, motorcycle stunts, and a fireworks show for the ages. The event is open to all ages, so bring the family with you!<\/p>\n
