How\u2019s it going? Claire here! So many great opportunities have happened to in the last couple of months. I was on a docuseries on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cwtv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">CW<\/a>\u00a0called\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cwtv.com\/shows\/my-last-days\/claire-wineland\/?play=8a8267c3-fb7d-4323-a3b8-75afb0e5e899\" target=\"_blank\">My Last Days<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>where I talked about my life with cystic\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25425 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northstarmoving.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Claire-Wineland-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Claire :)\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/>fibrosis.\u00a0It\u2019s been a pretty cool ride so far. Another awesome\u00a0addition to my rollercoaster life is that I recently found out that on October 27, I will be presented the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldofchildren.org\/honoree\/claire-wineland\/\">2016 Youth Award<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldofchildren.org\/events\/2016-awards-ceremony\/\">Annual World of Children Awards Ceremony<\/a>.\u00a0 You\u2019re probably wondering what the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldofchildren.org\/\">World of Children<\/a> is, huh? It\u2019s an amazing charity that has funded lots of programs to improve the lives of many children. This year, they\u2019ll be having their fancy, beautiful gala in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northstarmoving.com\/blog\/2015\/moving-to-new-york-city\/\" target=\"_blank\">New York City<\/a>. You can say I\u2019m pretty excited. Not only is it an honor to be awarded, but I\u2019ll also be surrounded by people who are passionate about changing the lives of children all over the world.<\/p>\n\n<p>This year, I will be accepting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/worldofchildrenawards\/videos\/1282068445158151\/\">2016 Youth Award<\/a> for the <a href=\"http:\/\/clairesplacefoundation.org\/about-claire\/\">Claire\u2019s Place Foundation<\/a>. This foundation is very close to my heart, not only because I started it but because I\u2019ve personally witnessed how it has helped the lives of others who are living with <a href=\"http:\/\/clairesplacefoundation.org\/about-claire\/\">cystic fibrosis<\/a> like me. Families no longer have to worry about any pending bills, more patients can afford to have treatments covered and other medical devices to make living with cystic fibrosis a bit easier.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldofchildren.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">World of Children <\/a>is not only helping my charity, but also aiding other foundations that donate time and money to improve the quality of life of kids who are in need.
