Fall<\/a> has come and gone, now winter<\/a> has arrived. This means Christmas<\/a> and Hanukkah<\/a> are just around the corner. It also means it gets colder outside, resulting in less playtime. One favorite pastime is spending time in the outdoors<\/a> and reading a book<\/a>. There\u2019s something about breathing in fresh air and admiring nature\u2019s<\/a> beauty. Sadly, with winter here sometimes I can\u2019t go outside because it\u2019s either raining<\/a>, snowing <\/a>or too cold<\/a>. Even though I can\u2019t be outdoors as much as before, it\u2019s nice to be indoors too. I can sit by a window and still look at the scattered leaves on the ground. During the times I can\u2019t be outside, I\u2019ve learned how to pretend I\u2019m outdoors from the comfort of my house. Sounds amazing right? Also, I\u2019ve found some games<\/a> that can be just as fun as playing<\/a> outdoors.<\/p>\n

Scavenger Hunt<\/h2>\n

Looking for a lost item and can\u2019t remember where you last left it? No problem! Design a scavenger hunt<\/a> that will have your friends and family looking for items throughout the house.\u00a0 Make a list<\/a> of stuff in your home and have them search for it. The items can be as specific or as plain as you like. It\u2019s a game<\/a> that can be played for hours and there\u2019s endless fun. Allow the winner of the game to choose the movie<\/a> you guys will watch after the game. It will have the players trying extra hard to find all the items that way their movie pick gets chosen.<\/p>\n

Have you ever had a dream to be in a silent movie like Charlie Chaplin<\/a>? Well here is your chance. You can play charades<\/a> with your friends and family. \u00a0Make some cards<\/a> out of paper or index cards. Then, come up with some words you and your friends can act out. I would suggest movie titles, animals<\/a>, celebrities<\/a> or any other word you can animate. With a good imagination<\/a> anything is possible with this game. It\u2019ll have you and your friends pretending to be the star<\/a> you always wanted to be.<\/p>\n

Bowling<\/a> can be so much fun. It\u2019s a great indoors<\/a> game to play. If you can\u2019t make it to an actual bowling<\/a> alley, you can make something similar in your home. It\u2019ll be like a DIY bowling game in the middle of your\u00a0living room<\/a>, kitchen, or anywhere you want to place it. A great thing about it is that you need little to create one. What you\u2019ll need is 10 empty plastic bottles<\/a>, some sand to make the bottles heavy and a small ball. Place them on a flat surface, preferably on the floor.
