Most people are surprised to see how Los Angeles is once you’re moving to Los Angeles. \u00a0People always talk about what happens if you\u2019re living or moving to Los Angeles, but moving to Los Angeles is far from how the tv shows make it look.\u00a0Before you get moving to Los Angeles, you should know what it\u2019s like from someone who calls Los Angeles their home.\u00a0<\/p>\n

  1. Moving to Los Angeles doesn\u2019t mean giving up seasons!<\/strong> We have fire season, flood season, and earthquake season. All jokes aside, it is generally sunny and warm all the time but it does get cold and hot during winter and summer.<\/li>\n
  2. If you\u2019re moving to Los Angeles, Surprise! there is snow. <\/strong>It\u2019s just on the mountains just outside Los Angeles. While the mountains are close enough that many people enjoy snowboarding and skiing, you have a better chance of having a fire day than a snow day.<\/li>\n
  3. Anything below 60 degrees is cold.<\/strong> Before moving to Los Angeles, temperatures reached below below freezing. Once you\u2019re moving to Los Angeles, you freeze when it\u2019s below 60.<\/li>\n
  4. Once you\u2019re moving to Los Angeles, you\u2019ll need a car.<\/strong>\u00a0The bus is a much greener option, but it won\u2019t get you moving to Los Angeles or through it as fast!<\/li>\n
  5. There is always traffic whether you\u2019re moving to Los Angeles or not.<\/strong> During rush hour, you can hardly get anywhere. Before you get moving to Los Angeles, don\u2019t expect to be going anywhere fast from 6 am to 10 am or from 3 pm to 7 pm. (Tip: don\u2019t take the 405!)<\/li>\n
  6. Moving to Los Angeles means amazing food and great shopping.<\/strong> Any type of food you want is never out of reach (not to mention In N\u2019 Out!) \u00a0One true myth about moving to Los Angeles is great shopping. ;)<\/li>\n
  7. \u00a0Earthquakes aren\u2019t that common. <\/strong>Once in a while, things\u2019ll get moving and shaking but more often than you won\u2019t even feel it. Plus with earthquake tips<\/a>, you\u2019ll be ready once you\u2019re moving to Los Angeles!<\/li>\n
  8. Moving to Los Angeles means moving to the stars!\u00a0 <\/strong>Celebrity sightings do happen on rare occasions not all the time though. (If you want to be moving to Los Angeles like a star, check\u00a0<\/a>this<\/a> out!)<\/li>\n
  9. The beach is never far out of reach. <\/strong>Moving to Los Angeles means lots of sunshine! You\u2019re always within an hour of the beach or a desert. Be sure to wear your sunblock!<\/li>\n
  10. There is always something to do. <\/strong>Whether it\u2019s going to Mountain High to snowboard, or heading to Malibu Beac<\/a>h, or taking the bus<\/a> downtown to\u00a0Downtown LA<\/a>. \u00a0Each city is its own community with different things to do.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Also here\u2019s a tip for anyone moving to Los Angeles or just California, \u00a0it\u2019s ‘California’ not “Cali.” Fun fact, no matter how cold outside it is, it is always flip flop weather. Don\u2019t be shocked once you\u2019re moving to Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
