Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer and it’s just around the corner! This year, Labor Day lands on the 1st of September. Our cities are brimming with fun filled activities for the family! Instead of getting stuck in traffic this year, why not celebrate the long Labor Day weekend locally in Los Angeles and Orange County with these fantastically fun activities.

Labor Day Disneyland Half Marathon

Want to keep fit after all those summer BBQs? Sign up and race your favorite Disney character to the finish line. This 13.1 mile run takes you through the Disney California Adventure Park, Main Street U.S.A and finishes up near the Disneyland Hotel. The Labor Day festivities continue with lots of races for kids and a Health and Fitness Expo for the family.  The Disneyland half marathon on Labor Day weekend promises to be the happiest race on earth!

E Hula Mau Labor Day Weekend Festival

Couldn’t make it to Hawaii this summer? This Labor Day, you get a second chance! Throw on your grass skirt and head over to the E Hula Mau annual celebration of Hawaiian culture in Long Beach this Labor Day weekend from August 29th-31st. The Labor Day weekend festival includes dance competitions, Hawaiian music, island foods and live performances. Say aloha to summer island style!

Maestro of the Movies at the Hollywood bowl

Listening to great music under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl is an iconic summer event for most here in Los Angeles. This Labor Day weekend the Hollywood Bowl is bringing in the magic of summer blockbusters with a tribute to John Williams‘ classic scores on Friday and Saturday night. If that’s not enough, check out the special tribute to the scores of our favorite Hitchcock movies on Sunday night. It’s a weekend of movie music for fans of the Hollywood Bowl from August 29th-Sun 31st.
