An Honor That Moves Us
We’re excited to share some wonderful news! NorthStar Moving recently received the Jackie Agner Community Impact Company Award from the Global Moving Foundation at the International Association of Movers (IAM) Annual Meeting & Expo 2026 in San Diego.

Presented annually by the Global Moving Foundation, the Community Impact Award celebrates individuals and companies in the global moving industry who make a difference through charitable, volunteer and humanitarian efforts.
This award is especially close to our hearts because it celebrates something bigger than just our company. It shines a light on the nonprofit organizations we’ve been fortunate to support and the wonderful things we can all accomplish when we lift each other up.

Lifting People Up Is the Ultimate Move
For NorthStar Moving co-founders Laura McHolm and Ram Katalan, giving back has always been part of what makes us who we are. Together with our team, they believe that when we lift each other up, we all move forward.
And sometimes, the most meaningful way to help is by sharing what we do best.
For us, being an award-winning moving company means more than providing exceptional moving services. It also means finding ways to use our movers, trucks, storage and experience to help others.
What Moves Us: Our Community Outreach
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside more than two dozen nonprofit organizations, each making a difference in its own extraordinary way.
Moving Forward, Together
We’re deeply grateful to the Global Moving Foundation for this recognition and for celebrating the importance of community impact within the moving industry.
To our nonprofit partners, thank you for the incredible work you do every day and for allowing us to be part of your missions. To our NorthStar Moving team, thank you for bringing your hearts to work and making these efforts possible.
And to everyone who believes in the power of helping others, thank you for moving our community forward.
Because when we lift each other up, we all move forward.
