When people think of California, the beach often comes to mind. Just about ten minutes from the Pacific Ocean, it’s rare for Irvinians not to be on the sand. Spanning across 10 miles of “The OC” coastline, Newport Beach remains a popular destination for its residents. If in Newport make sure to try a frozen banana… *insert witty Arrested Development joke here*

Shopping is a popular activity for many, but the Irvine Spectrum offers that and much more. The Spectrum “is Orange County California’s premier dining, shopping and entertainment destination.” With over 130 retail stores, you’re bound to find a new outfit to take with you on their giant ferris wheel.

People from all over will be jealous to hear that In-N-Out is headquartered in Irvine. With locations only in California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada, this burger stand is a west coast gem. From the “Double-Double” to the “Animal-Style” fries, you’re bound to find something mouth-watering. Vegetarian? Try the “Grilled Cheese.”

The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine attracts leading artists to the city. Seating around 16,000 people, fans gather to the Amphitheater from all over SoCal. While Muse is featured above, many other famous performers have played on this stage. Some include: Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, No Doubt, KISS, Britney Spears, Dave Matthews Band, and Blink-182.
