It seems that almost anywhere you go in Austin, there’s bound to be live music. There’s even live music at the airport! While you can catch some live tunes in Austin almost everyday, there are two giant music festivals you won’t want to miss. South by Southwest (aka SWSX) takes place in March at over 50 venues. SXSW is more than music, too! Films, art, talks and other events will leave you with plenty to do in Austin during SXSW. Austin City Limits in October brings musicians from all genres together on eight stages in the beautiful Zilker Park. There are many other festivals during the year including a Brazilian carnaval, a rodeo, and a crawfish festival!
