One of the best things about spring is Mother’s Day! It’s one of the few days that everything is all about mom. Moms are such hard workers, so it’s nice to have a whole day dedicated to them. Let’s take a look at some of my favorite green gifts for Mother’s Day.

Mother’s Day: Self Care

This Mother’s Day, stay green by giving Mom a royal spa treatment without ever leaving home. Start with a DIY foot soak. The essential oils and Epsom salt used in the soak mix will help relieve stress and rid the body of toxins. Then move on to a soothing bath with DIY bath salts. Try oils made from lavender, lemon, peppermint and even aloe! Add to the experience by giving her a homemade honey lemon sugar scrub. Not only does it smell incredible, but it does wonders for the skin. Afterward mom can indulge in a bit of mango citrus body butter made from natural ingredients.

Finding the right gift can be hard. Why put yourself through the stress, when you can make your own? DIY gifts are the perfect way to stay green and save green. Make your own tile photo coasters and share a special moment with mom over tea or coffee. Channel your inner poet and leave a sweet message for mom on a DIY memo mug. These tea cup candles are cute and useful. Have Mom use them during a relaxing bath or a late night read.

Help Mom bring nature into her home with an indoor herb garden. Plant everyday herbs such as, ginger, mint, and rosemary. Soon Mom will have her own homegrown spice rack. Is your mom your world? Give her a world of her own in this terrarium kit. She can pick the plants and watch as they come to life. Give back to Mom while giving back to Mother Earth and plant or dedicate a tree in her honor. There are so many ways to say “I love you”, the nice thing is, it’s up to you choose how!

How are you celebrating Mother’s Day this year? Tell me about it in the comments section below!
