Florida is known as the Sunshine State. So it’s no surprise that Tampa is full of sunshine and happy people. Tampa is the largest city in Hillsborough County, Florida, and lies just 200 miles northwest of Miami. There’s always something going on in Tampa, from festivals to sporting events, you never be bored after moving to Tampa.

Tampa has always been home to great food, but with the recent surge in foodie culture, it’s become a haven for food lovers over the past few years. Get moving to Ocean Prime and dig in to one of their savory world renowned steaks while you take in the views from the bay. Try the world famous Cuban sandwich at the Columbia Café. Kick off the weekend with live music on the terrace. For a fresh new experience head to FirstWatch. Start your day with a pot of coffee (that’s right a whole pot!) and a power bowl made up of organic ingredients.

Get moving to Tampa for the entertainment. Visit the historic Tampa Theatre. It’s one of Florida’s oldest grand movie palaces, and home to the Mighty Wurlitzer, a luxurious organ played before screenings and in accompaniment with silent films. Make your way down to Skipper’s Smokehouse. Be transported to a haven full of nautical wonders, classic Floridian dishes, and live music performed almost every night. One of the most fun events is the Gasparilla Pirate Festival that takes place each year. According to the official website, the GPF is full of, “boats, merriment, and parades”.

Get moving to Tampa for the rides, thrills, and chills. Visit the Busch Gardens animal habitats and take the Jungle Insider Tour where you can go on a Serengeti Safari. Mosey over to the Henry B. Plant Museum, where artifacts imported from around the world fill the gilded halls and luxurious rooms. Swim over to the Florida Aquarium, and celebrate its 20th anniversary by participating in one of the special anniversary events. Some of the events include, a scavenger hunt, a coral reef show, and a wild dolphin cruise!
