Moving to Sherman Oaks, CA

So where do all the valley girls hang out? In Sherman Oaks, of course! But Sherman Oaks is more than just another section of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Entertainment? Sherman Oaks has it. Shopping? Sherman Oaks has it!

Located between Studio City, Bel-Air, Encino, and Van Nuys, this 8-square-mile urban district is home to around 50,000 people. Check out my favorite reasons to get moving to Sherman Oaks:

Entertainment

Sherman Oaks, CA is no stranger to the film scene. Did you know that scenes of TV shows like Desperate Housewives, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Scrubs, and movies like Terminator 2:Judgement Day and Transformers were all shot in Sherman Oaks? In Sherman Oaks, you can also sit back to watch the big screen and relax in the comfy chairs at ArcLight Cinemas in the Sherman Oaks Galleria. With cinema and art exhibits, reserved seating, and many other design schemes made for the delight of cinephiles, the ArcLight is the mecca of many movie lovers.

Shopping

Speaking of the Sherman Oaks Galleria, Sherman Oaks is home to all your shopping needs! Some of LA’s greatest high-end fashion stores and restaurants line Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks. There’s also the Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks. If you like to do some “retail therapy” every now and then, get moving to this neighborhood!

Farmer’s Market and Street Fair

Sherman Oaks also houses other great shopping and entertainment opportunities in the form of the Sherman Oaks Farmers’ Market and the Sherman Oaks Street Fair. The Sherman Oaks Farmers’ Market happens every Saturday and even includes entertainment events like kids face painting, demos, and maybe even some music to get you going in the morning! Every third Sunday in October, the Sherman Oaks Street Fair brings lots of music and vendors to the street. It’s fun for everyone!
