I will never ever move by myself again. NorthStar was the greatest purchase I have ever made. Super professional, timely, and they move quickly. Hardest thing I had to do was tell them we’re to put stuff.

I moved from SF to LA. This is my 2nd time working with NorthStar after 7 years. They are the best in the industry. I would use them again.

The dispatcher (Jason) always called the day before to confirm delivery and an hour ahead to confirm arrival. No matter it’s pickup or drop off.
Northstar pickup staff (Felipe, Rudy & Noe) packed my stuff efficiently and carefully. Similary, the drop off guys (Wilfredo & Kennon) checked the moving route first then executed the job efficiently with utmost care.
I also have to thank Michelle, the Northstar lady that did an innovative video estimate to do my quote within a short notice – the price fair and competitive. (The only thing I would suggest is to always double check contact info to make sure the msg is sent to the updated #.)
In conclusion, I am very satisfied with NorthStar moving company. Highly recommend to any friend, relatives and Yelpers.

Great move from LA to SF. Movers were friendly and efficient. They came up, wrapped all furniture with blankets, shrink and love. Very professional move. I would totally recommend them to my family and friends. Once I get to SF, I will spread the word. This company is great. If I do move again, I will definitely use North Star as my moving company.
This was my first experience moving across the state and this company made me feel comfortable and know that my stuff was safe. The movers that came to drop my stuff communicated well. They have heads up before they came the day before and the morning of. They were super gentle with my furniture and went out of their way to roll out my rugs. Went above and beyond what I was expecting!!
I used them to move from LA to San Jose. From San Jose to San Francisco. And back to LA. All over about a six year period. My dealings with the folks on the phone were all standard, nothing special.

We used NorthStar a second time for a complicated move from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles. They were incredibly patient and helpful as we experienced numerous escrow delays and had to schedule and reschedule the movers again and again. The movers showed up promptly, handled everything with great care, and worked so efficiently and thoroughly. On top of that, they were super friendly and nice guys. I highly, highly recommend NorthStar – they are the only moving company we will be using in the future!

Moving day out of San Francisco, and we decided to go with Northstar movers again, because they are awesome! Our friend recommended them to us when we moved from LA, and they are highly efficient in getting multiple pieces of furniture out at once, and while doing it super carefully! I was really impressed at how they explained the process from picking up the pieces to taking them to the warehouse where they will be picked up again to go back down to southern CA. You want honesty when you have movers take your valuable items, and we really appreciate the movers from Northstar Pleasanton for helping us out!!
Came and helped me pack some items I couldn’t pack myself and taped boxes better than I did. Johnathan and the guys were friendly and worked fast. Moving in state over 100 miles can’t wait till they bring it to my new place.
I would like to update my review because even though the things I mentioned in my previous review were an inconvenience, Northstar reached out to me to sincerely apologize and explain that that’s not how they usually conduct their business. They went out of their way to make it right with me and I understand that from their other reviews they really are a reliable company and they do great work. Everyone makes mistakes and I would definitely give them another try next time I move because I can see that they truly care about their customers.
