Moving & Storage Conference (MSC)

The American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA) has been representing the American moving and storage industry since 1998. They support programs and activities that promote consumer protection, professional development, safety and operational efficiency.

In 2020 AMSA joined the American Trucking Association (ATA) as the newly established Moving & Storage Conference (MSC), which will serve as the advocacy arm highlighting and amplifying moving and storage priorities. A Moving & Storage Council was also created as the training and education arm.

AMSA’s consumer protection and certification program ProMover, will continue under the MSC.
Pro Mover takes the worry and the hassle out of moving by helping consumers identify quality professional movers.

Established in 1918, the California Moving and Storage Association (CMSA) is a non-profit trade association representing over 385 licensed and insured movers operating in California. As a condition of CMSA membership, each mover member must be licensed and agree to abide by a Code of Ethics promising to provide California moving consumers honest, legal, and efficient service. Trained personnel, operating clean and safe equipment, are standard CMSA member service characteristics. The CMSA also plays a valuable role for the California consumer. Through the establishment of membership criteria, consumers who choose a mover that is a member of the CMSA, are more likely to obtain a qualified mover that will provide excellent service.
