NorthStar Moving has been absolutely magnificent. They came last Wednesday. They loaded a big truck for us. They did it very organized in a very good fashion. Five guys. They worked very hard. Now, they came back again today.

And look how quickly they were able to pack all this. We’re going to Finland. So, we’ve had to be packed for an international move and they’re going to take it to a pallet and they’re going to actually deliver to where we’re moving to the specific address. So, you couldn’t ask for more than that or better than that.

Door to door. Yeah. And on top of it all, Abner never ever got tired of my 1500 calls. He always promptly returned my calls or answered them right on the spot. The most professional ever.

Yeah. And it wasn’t her fault that we had to delay because of the house escrow closing and things like that. It was always one thing after another. So, but it’s just worked out wonderful. We couldn’t have been luckier or found a better moving company to go overseas with than you guys here. NorthStar. It’s actually in Finnish it’s “pohjantähti” which means northern star and it’s a good luck and it’s a good luck charm. So you you guys are our good luck charm.

We had an international move and are incredibly happy with the whole process. The packers packed everything very well and when we checked at our delivery address, nothing had been broken or damaged. Communication was very transparent and timely, and although it took a bit of time, it was as smooth as we could possibly imagine it to be.

Avner took care of our moving from San Francisco to India. Best experience we ever had with moving. The process was easy and all the furniture arrived in time with zero damage. The packing was fantastic. We even moved a piano which was handled with care and professionalism. The communication at any stage of the process was easy and clear.

I can’t recommend enough NorthStar for an international moving. If you need one, do not look any longer-they are the best. The quote they gave us was the final one and we were not charged more in India. The furniture was unpacked and assembled in Delhi with care as well. No hidden cost. Thank you Avner for all the help!

My experience with NorthStar so far has been absolutely amazing. Avner is really good to work with. He knows exactly what he’s doing and has guided me all the way through the the process and alleviated all my fear. After 25 years of living in Los Angeles I packed up a lot of my things to ship to my new home Northern Ireland.

NorthStar picked up all my stuff last Wednesday and were very professional. They packed everything beautifully. They were very polite. I was very happy when I saw the truck drive away and knew that I was in safe hands.

I would highly recommend NorthStar. I will do a follow up review when I receive my belongings across the ocean.

I moved from California to Germany several months ago and wanted to reassure those of you with big moves still ahead that you can worry a little less if you choose NorthStar. I trusted this company to move everything I own across a continent and an ocean, and I’m somehow still amazed that it all arrived, safe and sound, nothing lost, nothing broken, and with no unpleasant surprises. Avner Yonai and his colleague Eileen Clark were responsible for this international move, and Avner answered every question I had, following up personally when necessary. These are friendly, approachable, professional folks who seem to love what they do and couldn’t possibly take it more seriously. Now that I am settled in, I wanted to thank them again and send a shout-out to anyone worried about whether their move will go well 🙂

Some tips:

Take the video chat estimate very seriously. Let them know exactly what you’ll be shipping.

Stay involved in the entire process. It’s pretty interesting anyway, and you’ll know what’s going on at all times.

Be careful unpacking! Everything is so carefully wrapped that it seems the most damage can be done trying to get things out.

Tip the movers. They work very hard for hours, and they don’t seem interested in snacks and beverages. I wish I’d asked ahead of time what their favorite snacks were.

Jorge J and his crew just pulled away with all of my belongings, fantastic experience! They called me 30 minutes in advance, arrived on time, were very careful with my items, AND they were FAST! They were here less than an hour and now I can relax the rest of the day! Jorge was very clear with me and gave me step by step explanations to how the move works. I’m moving out of state and he was really helpful in explaining this to me. I had a very positive experience from the beginning when Alan came to give me my in home estimate. And I couldn’t be more happy now. ThAnks northstar! And thanks again to Jorge and his team for making this cross country move easy breezy.

Moving is never fun. Never. The stress of packing, trashing, and unpacking is tough enough and I learned a long time ago it is much, much easier to find someone professional to take care of the literal moving part. This past weekend, as I moved to a new place, the question wasn’t should I hire a moving company. The question was which one. A neighbor recommended Northstar and after a few phone calls it was clear this was the moving company to trust with our move. Jason & Wendy in the office were both professional and understanding throughout the process. I was late in getting things squared away and they were literally able to make my move work the very next day. We contracted for a team of 3 movers and a truck at $115/hour with a 3-hour minimum. We lucked into having a team of 4 arrive right on schedule. They skillfully parked their larger-than-expected truck and went right to work. We had packed most of our small items in boxes, but left all the big things for them. They wrapped up each piece to make sure it was transported safely and even took care of taking apart large things (like the bed). 4 1/2 hours later, we were in our new place with the large items put back together and the crew was on their way after a healthy tip. Note that if you pay cash there is a 3% discount. One broken glass. That was the only damage we incurred. And even that glass was from the set we didn’t use anymore and was caused by the way I had packed the box more than the moving. If every move I have in the future only ends in only one broken glass, I’ll be a very happy camper. Besides, isn’t breaking a glass considered good luck in some cultures? Northstar Moving earns a rare 5-star review the old-fashioned way… by earning it. There is no doubt in my mind which company I’ll be calling the next time I move.

Very good stuff

3.5 years ago I moved from SF to London.  Northstar came and packed up all my stuff and put it into storage.  About 3 weeks ago I moved back from London to San Jose and I had only a short time here to get my stuff.  The team at Northstar took great care of me.  After 3.5 years they brought all my stuff none of which was damaged in anyway and set up my bedroom for me.  They arrived on time and were very quick about getting things done!  And it was cheaper than any other quotes.. the storage fees per month werent bad at all either!  
If you are moving.. and or you need storage I would highly recommend NorthStar!  Good people and good product!
