I was in a bind to move from LA to Huntington Beach quickly and naturally I turned to Yelp! I found Northstar Moving Company and was impressed with their reviews. Still I checked around with my friends for any recommendations and what do you know I was referred right back to NorthStar Moving Company!
I immediately called and the very next day they had an estimator out to give me a very fairly priced quote. They made the process very easy for me at a time where everything is hectic, thank you for that!

Vatche, Brandon, and Dennis did a seamless moving job for us. They helped my sister and I move out of our 2 bedroom in LA into our new 2 bedroom in Redlands. They were timely, responsive, professional, and handled everything with care. Prior to arriving, they called to let us know they were 45 minutes away so we could prepare. As soon as I met them, they were ready to get started. As a team, they worked well together and completed the job efficiently. They came fully equipt with moving materials and quickly scouted out the place to find the best way to get things in and out. It was Father’s Day and the temperature was high that day, and they were in high spirits. All my interactions with the team were extremely positive. Thanks to Vatche, Brandon, and Dennis, our move is completed with ease and efficiency. Finally, Northstar is responsive to inquiries and I easily reached someone anytime I had questions. Booking the move was quick and the team is thorough. I would highly recommend them for your move!
I’ve moved a LOT and NorthStar is hands down the best moving company I’ve encountered – I’ve used them twice (Sunnyvale to SF last year and SF to Emeryville this year) and will continue to do so. They move your stuff at lightning speed, but carefully, and will even help disassemble and reassemble your furniture. It is worth every penny.

Moving day is always stressful. This year I decided to bare the expense and hire movers. I chose NorthStar Movers and got a crew of Daniel; Ruben & Abraham. Those 3 guys were AMAZING!!! 2-bedroom apartment in DTLA which we packed but wow I had a lot of stuff after spending 3 years in that place. But those guys came in; were professional; moved my items with care and were very personable. Once we got to my new place also in DTLA they unpacked and help me set up my bed and arranged some furniture. These guys are awesome. If ever need to move; NorthStar is the business the process was smooth from start to finish. Very appreciative of their effort!
This is the second time I have used NorthStar moving. I had a great experience the first time and this time has been no different. Vatche and his team was amazing! First of all he took apart and re put back my bed perfectly! Secondly he made sure all my other furniture was packed and kept from getting dinged or broken! Also they moved all my bulky furniture effortlessly. Another thing is that I have light carpet and was worried that there would be some marks. Nothing!!! They made sure to not track anything in! They were on time and quick!!! I will always recommend and utilize northstar for all my moving!!
My sixth move with Northstar. I’m obviously a happy customer. What impressed me about these guys is how well they communicated with each other and worked as a team. That communication is why they’re safer, quicker and more creative than other movers I’ve worked with in the past. 5 stars – well deserved.

Man…where do I start… these three guys Jonathan,Michael and Parun came in and got the job done! They by far are all around the best movers. They make sure your stuff is completely secure as well as make sure everything is the way you want it before they leave. I had some great convos with these guys and even lended a helping hand. They were the most polite individuals from start to finish and were on task the whole time. I don’t know what else good I can say about these guys man. They even took the time out to say what’s up to my dog man! The most professional and well organized machine when it comes to moving. If anyone want to move in California, I would definitely recommend these guys first, second and any other time! Thank you NorthStar for the fantastic service and the class you guys show while helping me and my family move from place to place!
I’ve moved a lot in the past, approximately 20 times so far in my lifetime, and I usually try to do everything myself (with the occasional family, friend, or home depot bystanders). But this time I decided to employ a moving company since my family has grown to 5 people (3 kids) and the amount of stuff and level effort has grown well beyond my own capability to do it myself. We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor, and prior to hiring movers I had transported as much of the smaller items in our apartment as I could so that all that was left was furniture, refrigerator, cabinets, and heavier items I could not transport myself. North Star Moving Company did a great job with their services. First contact with Gabriella over the phone was pleasant as she provided a comprehensive summary of their services and costs and what was to be expected. The movers (David, Wilbur, and William) were hard working and arrived within the 2-hour arrival window and the move took 6 hours (including 2 hours “double drive time” from Alhambra to Norwalk). They furniture padded and plastic wrapped everything and nothing was damaged during transport. It helps to disassemble furniture and box up as much as possible prior to the move to save time. The cost of hiring movers is much greater than doing it yourself and renting a U-Haul, however the time, effort, headaches, and body aches saved justifies the cost. I had purchased the Yelp coupon and forgot to redeem it during payment, however I called a few days later and Gabriella was happy to apply the coupon and refund me a portion of the cost. Overall, great experience and happy to be settled at our new residence in order to write this review. I will never attempt another “do it yourself” move again.
