I moved from California to Germany several months ago and wanted to reassure those of you with big moves still ahead that you can worry a little less if you choose NorthStar. I trusted this company to move everything I own across a continent and an ocean, and I’m somehow still amazed that it all arrived, safe and sound, nothing lost, nothing broken, and with no unpleasant surprises. Avner Yonai and his colleague Eileen Clark were responsible for this international move, and Avner answered every question I had, following up personally when necessary. These are friendly, approachable, professional folks who seem to love what they do and couldn’t possibly take it more seriously. Now that I am settled in, I wanted to thank them again and send a shout-out to anyone worried about whether their move will go well 🙂
Some tips:
Take the video chat estimate very seriously. Let them know exactly what you’ll be shipping.
Stay involved in the entire process. It’s pretty interesting anyway, and you’ll know what’s going on at all times.
Be careful unpacking! Everything is so carefully wrapped that it seems the most damage can be done trying to get things out.
Tip the movers. They work very hard for hours, and they don’t seem interested in snacks and beverages. I wish I’d asked ahead of time what their favorite snacks were.

5 star service! Albert, Jorge, and Ubaldo did a great job from start to finish. They were able to execute the pick up and drop off of all our belongings. I would recommend them for your next move. Great leadership on Alberts end from start to finish. Thanks for the hard work fellas
I’ve now used Northstar a second time and, once again, I cannot recommend this company highly enough! The first move I had them do the packing… this was well worth the cost (not as much as you would think) because they did an amazing job and made the move so much easier.
Actually, everything about both moves was so easy! Ron, who set everything up, is as nice and honest a man as I’ve worked with in a long time. I had scheduling issues the first move (my house was being rebuilt and kept having delays) and he was so nice and patient and understanding every time I had to change the date.
The second move was smaller, an office space to a new office space. On both moves the crews were strong, solid, fast, and very careful. Also they were so nice to be around! I had a very good time with both crews. The first move was brutal… both houses (rental to my own house) had 40 steps in the front… both! but no one complained, they smiled and got the job done.
Moving is simply stressful. There’s no way around it. But Northstar makes a move as easy as can be. And they are reasonable as well!
Awesome movers, super quick and efficient. Really hard working and excellent communicators! I highly recommend using NorthStar, I’m beyond pleased with my experience! Their rates are competitive, and for the money, that are much better than most other companies I’ve gone with! Highly recommend over moving yourself, save yourself the back pain!

I had another great move with Northstar. Gil is my Goto for planning and it’s always spot on and seamless. The moving team this time was Kevin R, Jesus, Enrique P – they were courteous, careful and fast. No stress and best move by far!!
We chose NorthStar for our move because of the pricing. In comparison with other companies, it was much more competitive! Once they got to our apartment, they took such good care of all of our items. We had three movers: Johan, David, and Cesar. They were so nice and efficient. They wrapped everything up and carefully, yet quickly, loaded up the truck. Once they got to our house, they were so meticulous and made sure every piece of furniture or box was placed in the proper place. Our daughter was napping in one of the rooms so I asked them to avoid that room and be quiet when they were around it. She slept through the whole thing!
Since you pay for each hour, I was nervous that they would move slowly to tack on extra time, but they were so quick. We don’t plan on moving again soon, but when we do, we’ll use NorthStar again. I’ve also recommended them to all of our family and friends.
All I can say is AWESOME!! I had to cancel a reservation with another company because they screwed up and couldn’t supply a truck. I called these guys and they were able to schedule me for the following Monday! We had a video conference and I showed them the items to be moved including my family’s 80 year old piano.
They showed up on time, were very careful with the piano and delivered it to my home in Oregon in a week!

Everything is in boxes. It has been a process. So here is everything down here. I have just a couple final things I’m going to put in my car. Yeah, these are our last moments. As you can see, we are using NorthStar Movers. This is my third time using them. I’m trying to give them a huge, huge thank you. Every single time the crew of guys, we usually get like four. I think we’re having four today. They are so efficient. They are so like, friendly and nice. Like, I just trust them with my stuff and they have not broken a single, single thing down to like the tiniest item, which I think is really great. If you guys are ever moving. They really do. Just like a top notch, high quality job. So they’re going to be here so soon. Got the red carpet.
Amazing experience! Our second time using NorthStar in three years and they come Highly recommended. The employees are great and the fee is very reasonable for all of the movers dedication, commitment and hard work. 10 out of 5 stars!
