My third major move with NorthStar. Since I moved deep into Orange County, I didn’t initially call them. After trying to navigate all the companies out there, I went back and now I remember why. Customer service and the move team are excellent.
Ron Cohen is superior. We did our video walk through, he made sure the schedule was good. He called just prior to, during and after the move. We had issues with a couple of items and the team was right on it.
The team packed us up one day and moved us the next. They were long, long days and the team was outstanding. Respectful of us and our belongings. Romero made sure all was right with the placement of furniture and boxes.
We were able to empty all the kitchen boxes before they left and they took them with them. NorthStar knows how to pack. With so many boxes and a lot, lot of paper there was a huge pile in our garage. We called them and they came to get them. So much better than us trying to get rid of it ourselves.
This is our last move (that’s what we said 2 years ago) and won’t be doing this again. I would, though, recommend NorthStar to everyone and anyone.

Today is moving day, which is so exciting. We have been waiting for this day for so long and the day is finally here. So, NorthStar is helping us move into our house. This is our third time using NorthStar and each time has just been amazing. So, it’s just nice that they’ve been a part of this journey with us, honestly, from house to our apartment and now our final destination our last house. So, I am excited and I’m going to take us along with us.
I’ve had several moves in the last few years and Northstar has been the best. The communication was fantastic from start to finish. My first contact was emailing the customer service rep. Every email was answered within minutes. When we spoke on the phone, she was very courteous and followed up with a phone call to confirm every detail.
I had a window when the movers would arrive. I got a call way before the deadline letting me know that they would be arriving late, but within the window. That was a nice surprise as usually when movers, etc. run late, I have to call to see where they’re at. Then they said they would have 3 movers instead of two, but I would only be charged for 2 movers. So really good news!
They did arrive within the original time. And the movers were fast and handled all my items with care. Nothing was broken, damaged, etc. I wasn’t sure where all my furniture was going, and they worked with me as I tried to figure it out. And the three movers were polite, friendly and great to work with.
They packed fast and unloaded fast. I was paying by the hour and in no way did they try to slow down to increase the bill (like other movers have done). The movers did lots of extras and I was surprised at how inexpensive this move was. I ‘ve paid a lot more for a lot less quality.
The entire move from start to finish was impressive! I hope I don’t have to move soon but if I do, I certainly will use Northstar as my moving company. I highly recommend!

They moved 2 apartments and unpacked in less than 6 hours!
We just moved from San Francisco to Austin and we really like NorthStar Service. This staff members for our pickup took really good care of our furniture. During the delivery, the company were giving us a lot of updates about the delivery day. That was so nice also. They were very fast, so we recommend them and, in the future, if you need to choose a moving company we are going to use them again.
Northstar are the best in LA! 2nd time using them and I wouldn’t look anywhere else for movers. Nicest and most professional teams around. Pedro and his team were life savers. 4 flights of stairs were no obstacle for them.
I have used Northstar Moving Company services in a grand capacity over the years, as they became my preferred vendor in a consolidated effort to identify qualified movers, who could deliver service at a 5-star expectation. In 2004, I contacted Northstar when I managed a full service, luxury high rise condominium building with 228 units and was preparing to open a ground up construction highrise at an adjacent lot.
Ram Katlan met with me and took personal interest in what we were doing to create an exceptional moving experience for all new owners who bought multi-million-dollar homes in a prestigious building. My position was initially Director of High Rise Operations in Los Angeles for a management firm, and subsequently VP of High Rise Operations in Northern California.
We walked a path of travel at every location when we opened a new building, from the parking location of the moving vehicle to the freight elevator and to the individual unit. Extra care was required to lay down Masonite over the path of travel and to protect all surfaces and walls during a move, and all items were to be removed at completion. The buildings and processes are unique as many owners move from other states and need relocation/ storage facilities and special services until their units are ready live in and moves can occur. Ram and the Northstar team were confident in their representation of their ability and received rave reviews from the many owners who had the opportunity to engage with and receive their service. The above allowed me to create move-in guidelines that described the path of travel and advised owners of our collective expectations, that is still in use today.
Northstar was our preferred vendor for over 50 vertical buildings I was involved with in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties in Southern California, along with an additional 17 buildings I opened in San Francisco Bay area.

NorthStar moved me from West Hollywood to Westwood today (and packed my entire apartment yesterday). This is the best moving experience I have ever had. The customer service was fantastic and the movers were just incredible. They were nice, efficient, and so helpful. I will never use another moving company!!
