I love love LOVE NorthStar Moving Company! I used them for three moves total – two local moves in Los Angeles (Marina del Rey to Westside, Westside to Culver City) and for one long distance move (Los Angeles to New York).
Their crew must love working for them too, because I worked with several of them each time!
I worked with Lynn over the phone for both local moves, and Hector for the long distance move. They were both professional, timely, and went above and beyond.
They were understanding and able to accommodate my move date when I wasn’t ready for the cross country move.
The same with the crew – very aware of the timing, yet still careful with belongings.
I am currently undergoing my first local move in New York and wish like crazy I could call this company.

We moved my elderly parents this weekend. A difficult move for all concerned. We are all still speaking to each other, thanks in part to the professional, careful and organized team from NorthStar.
No hassle moving. Came on time. Packed everything very well. Boxes were delivered intact. Final charge was exactly what they had mentioned in the quote. No hidden charges. Will definitely recommend to anyone considering to move. Best of all they have only a 1000 pound minimum which saves a lot of money if you have stuff only worth 1 bedroom house.
Not only did the movers arrive on time, they were early! They were professional and worked very hard. They covered all of my furniture in blankets and it all arrived safely and in perfect condition! They guys were so awesome, I bought them breakfast. They were very thankful and very courteous. I recommend the company with full enthusiasm.
I did a ton of research (i’m a perfectionist/maximizer) and this truly is the best. The staff was amazing – they were really quick, honest, efficient guys. Went out of their way to help me. These guys are hands-down the best moving company I have ever experienced, and I have moved A LOT over the years. I have used them for both a long-distance move (SoCal to NorCal) and also a couple of local moves in Los Angeles. They are always prompt, totally ethical, reasonably priced, and I have not had even so much as a nick in any of my furniture.

They follow up to confirm your appointment, show on moving day promptly, work carefully and productively and they are super nice. This past weekend was our third time using NorthStar Moving. They were great this time (as well as the other two times). They arrived within the promised time and moved our stuff with care (they protected all our furniture with padding and shrink wrap). We will not hesitate to use them again for our next move!
