Definitely my go to moving company in LA. Always on time, professional, fairly priced, and never breaks a thing. I’ve used them twice: one on a long haul move from Texas to California, and locally in LA. The customer service and follow up you get before & after is top notch, plus they’re very kind and offer good deals to Yelpers.

This is my second time using NorthStar Moving as I wanted a hassle free and low stress move, I knew NorthStar would deliver. But this second time using NorthStar surpassed the last thanks to NorthStar Moving crew leader Hector Campos and his
2 helpers. I knew we were off to a good start when Hector called me an hour ahead of schedule at 7am. They were in my doorstep by 7:30am and was greeted by Hector and his crew with a professional first impression. They asked for direction and began to work packing my stuff right away. Hector leaded his crew and checked in with me to make sure everything went smoothly. We went past the 3 hour minimum but was impressed I was not charged the full extra hour but only the time actually used which was less than the full hour. I appreciate all your help to Hector and his 2 movers. I dont know how you guys do it day in day out several times a day for a labor intesive moving chore. Northstar did its job by taking the moving stress away from me. Also props to Lynn B. Shimon for the initial appointment set up through her quick email communication and follow-up. I also dealt with Lynn 1st time using Northstar and liked her quick follow-ups. And thank you Alma Lopez for moving up my appointment to earlier time. 🙂

What a wonderful moving team!! Hector Lampos and Jose Salazar moved us this month – they were very quick and careful with all of our belongings. They are hard working individuals and very kind/friendly, therefore, I would definitely hire them again and or recommend them to my clients, friends and family.
I, like many of the reviewers here, thought NorthStar did a great job. Jason and his crew worked fast, were polite and friendly, and got me moved out and in without a hitch. I think these guys are worth their weight in gold, as they worked their butts off getting my stuff up several flights of stairs. Would gladly use them again.
Moving? A piece of cake! I asked for 5 different quotes, and those guys gave me the best one. Moving from a two bedroom apartment in Santa Monica to a two bedroom condo in South Pasadena with a lot of boxes and very heavy pieces of furniture (L shaped couch, huge buffet, huge desk, dining table… the whole shebang). First of, Ana Coy was always great on the phone, before and after the move. Second, the movers were not only very efficient but also great to talk to: Gustavo and your team, thank you so much. Arrived on time, very polite, smiling a lot (I would have cried). Nothing broke, scratched. I will definitely use them again. Thanks again, I am impressed.

I just moved long distance, from Los Angeles to Providence, RI (nearly as long distance as you can get within the US). As you might expect, I was extremely nervous about an undertaking of this magnitude.
Well, having hired NorthStar, I needn’t have worried. The entire moving process was flawless. Alan came out to my place to give me an estimate, which was extremely accurate. There was a bit of a hiccup with the movers arriving but Alan took complete control of the situation and made sure things came out the right way. The moving team was prompt, efficient, professional, polite, and pleasant.
On the Providence end, again, movers were prompt, professional, and courteous. Wendy also helped me and was thorough, thoughtful, and extremely helpful.
I would absolutely hire NorthStar again, in a heartbeat. They were outstanding and really took the stress out of one of the most stressful things one can undertake.
These guys are awesome!! They were right on time and booked it getting my whole house loaded up and unpacked. They didnt waste any time! They were super polite too. I had to leave to get to work and by the time I got home my whole house was set up. They took the time to roll out the rug in my living room and set up the couch and coffee table. They also put furniture pads on everything so the wood floors wouldnt get scratched up. Loved them!!!! 🙂
Northstar was awesome! Highly recommend them. They were responsive and reached out throughout the process, arrived promptly, finished quickly, and were upfront about costs. My team was Gerardo, Jose and Rene, and they were awesome. Only downside is that I didn’t know whether to tip and didn’t have cash on hand at the time – not sure if this was included or not! Highly recommend and will use again.

I was told my movers would show up between 8am and 11am, they gave me a call at 7:30am and told me they were on their way and they arrived by 7:45am. Fantastic. The three men who helped me move did all the necessary work swiftly and carefully. They were also extremely friendly to talk to.
NorthStar also checked in at every step of the process to make sure the move went smoothly. It is easy to find a moving company in SF – tough to find a good one. This is a good one.
The only downside for me personally was that I live alone and having 3 movers may have been excessive for me (they have a minimum of 3 movers help you). The cost, however, was still comparable to a smaller moving company with fewer men, so it wasn’t like I had to pay for frivolous services.
**Note** have some cash on hand to tip your movers! They won’t bring it up at all that you can tip them, but you can and they work hard. I wish I had realized that and had more cash at the ready (downside of an all plastic payment lifestyle).
