I recently moved from LA to San Francisco. Northstar’s service and professionalism stood a mile out from the competition. During the quote process, Ron was a dream. He took the time to really understand what I was moving, that I wouldn’t be on site during packing, accommodated my last minute dates, explained my options, made recommendations and gave me a very fair quote. And, I knew the quote was all inclusive and that I could trust I wasn’t going to get a different story and add-ons come moving day (which has happened to me more often than not).
Angel and his crew packed my items, and even though I had to manage the move remotely (by phone no less), everything got here, beautifully packed. Ted, Samantha and Cesar were awesome in making sure the details were worked out – and Alberto and Fernando carried everything up – three flights of narrow stairs and didn’t leave until they felt I was taken care of (even after I told them it was fine – they pointed to things that they thought I might want to move from one end of the room to the other – and they were right.)
The entire team was a dream and somehow they made moving seem easy. Thanks guys.

I just used Northstar for my move from LA to San Francisco. I HATE moving, but Northstar made it as easy as possible. Ron did an in home estimate and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Both the LA and San Francisco moving crews were great! I have heavy, bulky furniture and I never heard any complaints. They packed carefully and efficiently. They even gave me the option to choose between two delivery dates, depending upon what was more convenient for me. I will definitely use Northstar for any future moves!
There are so many horror stories out there, so I was a bit nervous about sending my stuff across country. I did some research and decided to go with North Star. Ron Cohen came to my apartment to give me a quote and he worked with me over the proceeding couple of weeks to alter the price as I omitted and added various items. He was extremely helpful and always prompt in getting back to me. Everyone I worked with was great and my stuff arrived without a hitch.

I had told my fiance that next time we move we’re getting a moving company because I am too beat up for this moving crap.
I had asked around at work if anyone knew of a good moving company and someone did. She had used Northstar and had recommended it to numerous people at the office and raved about how good they were.
Of course telling my fiance this wasn’t enough, she started researching on the interwebs to find out what others had said and all the reviews she found were good.
We had Ron come out to do an estimate. He was friendly, informative and helpful with suggestions. He put our minds at ease with the move which can be overwhelming.
On move day the Northstar crew was on time and wrapped everything and was very careful with all of our furniture. All three were guys friendly and hard working.
On the off load my brother and I went out to get food and beer for our friends who had come over to help (no need, Northstar had taken care of it all) and when we came back the Northstar guys were done unloading!!!
Can’t say enough good things about Ron and his crew. When we move again (and I hope its not for a long time lol) we’re calling out Northstar again.

I called NorthStar to schedule my move because I learned from a search that they were expert piano movers. Not only did they do a great job moving my piano, but the guys were extremely friendly and professional and moved all of my things with care. I normally don’t post reviews online, but I HAD to for NorthStar after my move from California to Michigan.
From the very beginning these guys were helpful. An associate (Ron) came to my apartment to give me an estimate on the cost and we set everything up that very day. The night before my scheduled pick up, NorthStar called to confirm my time window along with the amount due that day – which I thought was great of them. My pick-up time window was 8-10am and I had a crew of 3 guys there at 8:00 on the dot. PERFECT. The guys were very nice and had everything securely boxed up within 1 1/2 hours.
The delivery experience was just as great. The driver called me 5 days before my drop-off day to make sure I had his number and reassured me I could call him with ANY questions and let me know he would update me on his whereabouts prior to the drop-off day. He kept his word. Two days before he called to give me my time window and the next day he called to remind me of the time. My delivery window 8-10am and he was there right at 8:00. He had everything unpacked within 1 1/2 hours – exact same as the pick-up.
Moving across country (and in general) is really, really stressful but this company took a HUGE weight off my shoulders. I felt 100% comfortable with leaving all of my personal belongings while they drove it across country and I would recommend them to ANYBODY.
