I received a quote from Ron Cohen a few weeks ago moving from LA to Houston. To be honest, the quote was more than I could afford and I decided to get a UHAUL and move myself. When I got to my apt in LA I looked around and thought, ‘I must be crazy’, so I emailed Ron and asked if he could send 4 guys and at least help me load my truck. I would drive it myself. He fit in my budget and THANK GOD! The guys were amazing! They were non-stop, worked so hard, were so professional and packed my truck perfectly. We didn’t think everything would fit at first, and lo and behold there was EXTRA room! The mover said it’s like playing a game of TETRIS 🙂 The thing that impressed me most was even after having to move HEAVY things down 5 flights of stairs (YES, my elevator was broken), the guys had a smile on their faces the entire time. I was totally impressed and grateful for the guys, their attitude and their professional moving. I had some very expensive items and I chose to spend the money to protect them and have them moved correctly – and I’m so glad I did.

North Star moved my offices 13 years ago. I was so impressed back then that I’ve held on to their card. They did not disappoint me on this move either. At every step of the process North Star did exactly what they said they were going to do, there were no surprises. That to me is the definition of professionalism. From the person who answered my phone call to schedule the appointment, to Ron Cohen who wrote the estimate, to the team who did the actual move; everyone was terrific. Whenever I move again-for business or for personal-I’ll be calling North Star again

Gadi Avigzer and his team are absolutely terrific. Their attention to detail and the care with which they move you is really something. They move your stuff as if it were there own. We will use them again and it’s no surprise that they have a number of references and repeat customers. They are not the least expensive, but they are the best. Save yourself the headaches of the bargain guys. I couldn’t believe how helpful and considerate they were, even to some elderly relatives and to the kids. Gadi and his team are honest and are incredibly hard workers. We are recommending them to everyone. We found them on Yelp and now we’re converts raving about them on Yelp as well.

If I was to ever write a documentary on good customer service, North Star would be a case study. Professional and friendly at every link in the chain (which is rare even for good companies). Their rep Ted was attentive. Their estimator Ron C. was thoroughly detail oriented and patient enough to walk me through everything he was putting into his estimate and why. Last, but not least, Richard H. and his crew were the best of the best. Punctual, efficient, polite, friendly, and careful with our valuable items, they were pretty much everything you want out of a moving crew and then some. They showed up right on time and were ready to get working the minute they stepped through the door. I couldn’t even believe how fast things were disappearing from my box filled living room. Now before this, when Ron gave me his estimate, I almost choked on my drink. But I’m the type to pay for quality, so I beefed up my budget and readied myself for the pain. However, the best surprise was at the end when it came in under time and under budget. Thanks North Star!!! P.S. – There’s a few other areas of modern commerce that could use your golden touch. I’d gladly take my car to a North Star Auto Repair. Food for thought 😉

Everything from my first call to the last box moved went smoother than expected. NorthStar – from Jon to Ilan and especially to Richard and his crew – is super customer service oriented. Calls were readily returned (if in the rare instance that I had to leave a message), appointments were easily made and convenient around my schedule, and each step along the way NorthStar actually made moving a pleasant experience. Richard and his crew showed up 15 minutes early, letting me know they were ready when we were. Each box and piece of furniture were carefully attended to, as if each were the team’s own personal property. They were quick, worked hard each minute of the day, and never tired of my requests to move one box to another room or help perfectly center something along the wall. Friends recommended NorthStar, and am I sure glad they did. I highly recommend NorthStar as well.
