I had a great experience with NorthStar – they saved me after I was left hanging by another company (lowball bid and no show the day of the move). Kate at NorthStar was completely understanding, was quick to respond, and secured a moving team for me within days. John and his team that handled the pickup in CA were totally professional. They re-packed a lot of my boxes (that were admittedly poorly packed) and made an itemized list of every box that went into the truck. They promised delivery within 20 days, but in fact, their dispatcher Cesar contacted me a few days after pickup to let me know that my stuff would be arriving only a week after pickup which was fantastic news. Sure enough, Austin and his team arrived Saturday morning and promptly unloaded all of our stuff. I’d definitely use them again.

Albert and Wilbur were top notch professional packers that any company should be proud to employ. They took great care packing up my most valuable items including a 185lb digital piano, a hydrow, and 65 & 55 Inch OLED TV’s. I highly recommend Northstar as they’re worth the price for peace of mind. A+. Thanks Again!

These folks made our move smooth and painless. They were clear at communicating, packed us all up–carefully calling out anything that already had a ding or scratch on it so everything was carefully catalogued–and they thoughtfully took apart and reassembled furniture. Isael and his crew went above and beyond to get everything expedited and in the right place at our new destination without incident. We’re so grateful to have found them. Thank you 🙂

NorthStar moved me from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Yesterday, three movers – Juan, Jose and Ruben – went the extra mile to move some very big, very heavy furniture up a flight of stairs. They were determined to get the job done and worked extremely hard. They provided excellent service.

These guys were fabulous. They came at the expected arrival time. They were extremely helpful.  They were so nice and professional.  They were super fast.  They even took stuff to the trash and loaded our cars. They’re the best.

Our experience with NorthStar was superb. Albert and his team did a terrific job for us on a local move. They were on time, professional, courteous, patient, careful and efficient. We are completely satisfied with the service and wholeheartedly recommend this moving company.

They made everything easy. Of all the places I called early on during the pandemic, they were the only ones who said their workers will wear masks, so I went with them even though they were a bit pricier than the other options I called. Better safe than sorry.

The guys did a great job on our move to our new place. They came on a Friday, wrapped and packed our belongings and then they moved us the next morning to our new place. Splitting the move up into two days really made it a lot less stressful for us. They guys were professional, courteous and just a pleasure to deal with.

Albert (the foreman), Santos and Carlos were awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure our moving day went well. They answered every question we had and got all of our stuff delivered without a scratch. 10/10. Will definitely use NorthStar again.

TL:DR – Albert and his team arrived early, were courteous, professional, and did NOT waste time. Time is money! That does not mean they were careless; they were careful with all items and helped with placement and made sure floors and walls were not nicked or dinged. I would highly recommend this team.

Long Version – Had a move from LA to the IE and reached out to a few companies. A couple I just didn’t get the right vibe and NorthStar was the one consistently responding back to email.

They recommended a Sunday move due to traffic (and to ensure a quicker move cause you do get charged by the hour). Anyway, got the courtesy call to confirm move was still on a couple days before, and then another call that they were 30m out.

They did WORK on my place and got the stuff out the door QUICK (after wrapping it with plastic and blankets and such). I met them at my new place and after a walkthrough of where everything should go, they rolled out the red carpet and some additional blankets so as to not walk around the carpet.

Got me loaded up and all set at my new place in about an hour (had some stairs and some heavy ass furniture) and set it up BEAUTIFULLY. Did a final walkthrough and everything looked great. Even knew how I wanted to set up my office without my asking! (Though they did tell me if I wanted it different they would rearrange).

All in all, one of the best, if not the best move I’ve had, and I’ve been all over from ATL to CHI and in-between.
