I was moving from Tempe to Scottsdale and needed to find movers since I didn’t have any family friends to help me move.

I used Yelp to decide who I would go with. I got quotes from two places — Northstar and another major moving company. Northstar was slightly more expensive than the other company, but Northstar had better reviews so I decided to go with them!

I’m so glad I did. My movers (Bryce, Martin, and Logan) were AWESOME! They were on-time, friendly, and took great care of my items.

Before I get into detail of the move, here is my quick overview of the company:

– Movers will pack your items and it is included in the price !!

– They provide boxes for your clothes that are on hangers (not to keep, but to make moving those items easier)

– All employees (that I encountered) were very friendly

– best overall price considering the exceptional quality of service

My move:

I booked with Northstar about 2 or 3 weeks in advance. The moving/booking agent I spoke with (Beatriz) was warm and friendly. She explained to me what was included with the base price and broke down the price in great detail which I appreciated.

I was called the day before my move to confirm the small details

On the day of my move, Bryce gave me a thirty minute notice of what time they would be arriving. (They give you a two hour window of when they will arrive — my window was between 8-10am and they arrived at 8am)

Once the team arrived, they listened to all my requests / instructions which led to a safe move of all my stuff. They were each very friendly, took great care of my items, and everything arrived in original condition!

They went above and beyond when ensuring that my couch, coffee table, and dresser wouldn’t get damaged and I really appreciated that. (Those were the only large, expensive pieces I had for the move)

I will definitely be back to Northstar for my next move. Thanks guys for your great work and for going above and beyond what I ever expected!

We hired NorthStar Movers for our move recently and were throughly impressed.  From our first interaction with Michelle to book our quote to Ron who gave us the quote and then to the 4 gentleman who moved us to our new home; everyone treated us with the most care and thoughtfulness.

Our move was during the Covid pandemic and the movers were all in masks and gloves and did their best to social distance as much as possible. They prepared and moved our items with significant care as well as moving quickly.  The finished much quicker than we anticipated but didn’t go so fast as to damage our stuff.

Highly recommend and will use them again if needed.

These guys are amazing. Super professional and go more than the extra mile. They carried my super heavy plants up a flight of stairs, including multiple very spiky cacti. I felt tired just watching them but they kept their energy and spirits up the whole time. This is my second time using them and would definitely use again. Thank you!!

We were very happy with the service that Northstar provided us. Jimmy and Robert were our movers, and arrived right on time. Our move went smoothly, and none of our belongings were damaged. Both movers wore masks and gloves, since we moved during Covid. My husband and I helped the entire time, so things went pretty smoothly. The move turned out to be about 5 hours, and the total cost was right about $500, which I think was very reasonable for a move approximately 5 miles away. Thank you, Northstar

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME…job! First CLASS from start to finish.I was scheduled with a different moving company who cancelled on me literally 18hrs before the move.Thank goodness for Yelp & NorthStar.I called last minute & spoke with a very kind lady name Gabbi who got me back on schedule for my move which was scheduled the following day.She took my info, emailed me some paperwork to sign & confirm & the next morning my moving crew,Austin,DeonTRE and Bryce showed up with mask,gloves and hand sanitizer, on time with a truck ready to move my things out of my storage facility. I even received a phone call letting me know they would arrive at the storage facility in 1hr.They worked well together, very organized, lots of communication & loaded the truck quickly.I was totally impressed.Nothing was dropped, broken nor scratched.I had nothing to assemble but they did ask.They even found & fixed my broken wheel on a box that the previous movers broke & I thought was lost 🙂 They were patient with me while I directed them where I wanted everything & didn’t complain at all when I changed my mind a couple of times 🙂 Thanks guys you were truly awesome & the move was a great. Their prices were very fair/reasonable & actually better than the previous moving company who stood me up. Moving sucks and moving with two days notice like my husband and I found ourselves needing to REALLY sucks. We hired NorthStar to pack and move our whole home in a day and they were AWESOME. Our four man crew, lead by Nicolas, got the whole job done in four hours. FOUR. We were prepared to all day. All of our stuff arrived to the new place safely and in good condition, no scratches to the floors or walls. I hope I don’t have to move again soon, but if I do, I know exactly who I’m calling to take care of me. Thank you so much NorthStar!
