Like most long distance moving companies, we have a minimum weight we must charge, even if your items weigh less. Just like when you purchase a first class stamp, the cost is the same whether you’re mailing one piece of paper or two until you reach a certain weight. After the minimum is reached, your price is based on the total weight of your letter, or in this case, your belongings. They don’t go all by themselves across country, they’re consolidated with other folks’ stuff. This keeps your overall costs down. Weigh cool, right?
