Review for the first half of my move (pick up and transport to short-term storage)
My movers were Jason, Jose, and Noe. They contacted me about an hour prior to their arrival and contacted me upon arrival. All three movers were professional, respectful, and efficient. I can confidently say that they exceeded my expectations. Though I know that customers cannot request by name the people they want to pick up their furniture, if you could, these 3 are the ones to ask for. I hope that when I’m ready to have my furniture delivered in SoCal, that the specific movers will be just as great! Thanks guys!
Luis, Anthony and Byron did a great job moving me from Playa Vista to Downtown LA. They were on time, polite and professional. They had all of the necessary supplies and there were no hidden charges. I have used Northstar for several moves and will continue to do so.

Jason, Noe, and Jose were amazing – this is the second 5-star crew from NorthStar. I used them to move out of SF 2 years ago, and used them again to move back up. Unloaded my whole storage unit (1 bedroom + random furniture) in 30 mins, and got everything flawlessly into my new place just as fast. And the rate was well worth the high quality service. Will definitely use them again.

When we needed to hire movers, we knew there were a lot of options out there. I asked friends for referrals and reached out to a handful of movers that I found on Yelp. I have to say that while North Star was one of the more expensive movers I called, they were also the most professional, thorough and responsive. Their office staff were pleasant and answered all of my questions quickly. I even had one of their project managers come out to do a free onsite estimate and I’m glad I did. This way there were no surprises and it made me feel better knowing what the maximum cost would be (thank you Alan Nudel). When it came time to move last Saturday, our team of 4 were great! They were on time, courteous and friendly. They braved triple digit temperatures, high humidity and smoke and ash from a local fire that broke out the day before and did it all with a smile. Our moving team took great care of our furniture and appliances and wrapped everything very well. The lead, Leeka, always kept in close contact with us and pointed out anything that might be a concern before they put it on the truck. They were very accommodating and respectful. Thank you for making our move less stressful and for taking such great care of us. I’m so happy I decided to hire North Star. I really believe that you get what you pay for!

My experience with NorthStar was fabulous. There is a 3 hour minimum, but it only took about 2.5 to move. Jason, Will, and James were friendly and kind, and treated my things like they were their own. Jason also reminded me about how to save money using Yelp. Appreciate the amazing customer service (with the main office), a courtesy call 45 minutes before they arrived, and overall great service. They also brought wardrobe boxes which were a lifesaver! Would 100% recommend this company to anyone moving!
Flawless move. We had tons of stuff to move and Edgar and the gang did it so fast. I had nothing to worry about as they simply took care of everything! You absolutely should use these dudes!!!
This was the easiest move I’ve had. The crew, Luis R., Allan G., and Rapael, showed up early within the window and got to work right away. They were very careful of all the furniture, including my upright piano, which I’m always nervous about moving. They also maneuvered large furniture down narrow hallways, which I was worried about. They checked to make sure everything was where I wanted it. It was really great, and I would absolutely recommend.

I’ve used NorthStar for 2 different moves now, and both times have been outstanding. For our recent move, we worked with Ron to get a “not to exceed” estimate for pricing, and the end cost was very reasonable and lower than the estimate. We worked with the fabulous team of Arturo M, Kevin and Emmanuel on move day, and they were completely professional and helpful in every way! Highly recommend!

We moved from CA to PA. They gave us a great deal and were very easy to work with. In the move an IKEA desk was damaged. I was worried that they would not take responsibility but they did. They compensated us more than fairly. I HIGHLY recommend them.
