I called several moving companies to prepare for my move. Stefy and Annie got back to me quickly and made accommodations for my date and number of movers needed, then emailed me the details right away. Their pricing was very affordable and fair.
The movers called to let me know they would be here about an hour before they arrived which was great so I was ready for them. They arrived within the window of time I was given by Stefy.
Chris and CJ arrived and assessed my current apartment and my new one (I did a move on premises-one unit to another in the same fourplex). They were very friendly and worked so well together to get everything moved. They turned it around in no time and made sure I was happy with where everything went. I am so grateful for them both!
I will definitely recommend Northstar to anyone needing to move and will be using them for my next move!

Don’t hesitate call them! they will get the job done and done right and done well and efficiently and with great service! Chris and Ben were on the job! They called me on their way and communicated exactly what time they would get there within the timeframe that is a huge deal for work big company to be able to get that kind of service. They were so fast and efficient they helped my elderly parents move furniture out of their place as they were getting new flooring put in! I was booked with another company but I didn’t have a good feeling about it and I did some research and I found this company and I’m so thankful I went with my gut feeling and they were able to accommodate me right away! I called them the day before and they were able to book it! Jessica and Gabriella the receptionists was more than thorough and sweet as can be and very professional! Don’t just try to get some fly by Night cheap deal when you’re moving!  is not worth it go with whats reliable and efficient and it would be a less headache trust me! Do you guys work their butts off and they deserve to get paid well for what they do! Moving is hard I have so much respect for them! Go guys! Keep up the good work and you will be definitely hear from me and my next moving needs!

Luis R, Raphael, Brian, Kevin and Eddie moved us today. Large move from Glendale to View Park. They arrived on time and worked efficiently all day. They were friendly and helpful throughout.  They were accommodating with a few last minute requests, too. A very good moving experience; professional and done right.

I have heard horror stories about moving companies.  From broken items, lazy workers to not unpacking your items unless you gave them more money than negotiated.  We had none of this with Northstar.  From the initial call, detailed pricing and confirmation, it was a very good experience.  Our movers Antonio, Junior and Lloyd were amazing!  They showed up on time and worked very hard and quickly from start to finish.  Every item was meticulously packed and not one item was broken or scratched.  The house was completely set up and all we had to do is unpack boxes.  The job took longer than originally anticipated, but to no fault of their own…50+ years of stuff and a 70 mile trip made the move longer.  If you want an outstanding moving company, look no further.  Hire Northstar with confidence.  We will definitely use them again for our next move.

Excellent moving experience from start to finish. Moved from West LA to Claremont. Received referral from a family member who had a positive experience. Scheduled estimate with Gil who was extremely professional, polite, and fast. He walked through our home and provided us with an accurate estimate in about 15 minutes. Answered all of my questions and was very flexible. Moving company called to confirm crew arrival several days before move. Movers called on day of move to confirm and arrived early. We moved over 2 days to avoid overtime as per Gil’s recommendations and had Eduardo, Jessie, Jimmie, and several others – all were excellent! We had a few last minute questions on Sunday (2nd day of move) and Gil was available, answered the phone and all of our questions. Eduardo was very professional and oversaw packing, as well as moving and unpacking on the following day. They made sure all boxes were put in the right rooms and even helped unpack and organize!! Super nice guys! Actual cost of move was 50% less than estimate because movers were so fast. Hire this company – you will not be disappointed!

I regrettably do not have the names of the first team who helped us in August of 2015 when we moved from Berkeley to Oakland. They were top notch, professional, and worked very quickly. Excellent experience. Was moving from Santa Monica to Hollywood, total move took about 4.5 hours. They originally gave me an arrival window of 12-6, but they called at 11:45 and said they were on their way.

Jose T., Gerardo T., and Ramon R. were very professional and very quick. Managed to find a way to get my behemoth of a couch out of my apartment and up the stairs at my new place. All my expensive stuff (tv, fridge, etc.) made it in one piece.

We had Michael from Northstar quote our move this morning and our first impressions are amazing! We found Northstar on Yelp after reading the reviews and also looking through the pictures of their equipment and trucks. If you are going to move our valuables, I would expect you to take care of your equipment in the same fashion! Although only our fist few interactions prior to the move, we have experienced great service and professionalism. Michael was prompt, communicated his arrival time and offered great advice for us to maximize our efficiency and keep costs manageable as we prepare for our move. Looking forward to the next steps!

The folks at NorthStar were great at helping me through the process. They were on time and their follow up and follow through were great. They packed some expensive art items I wasn’t sure how to handle and everything showed up in tact. They put together items they dismantled and set all furniture where we needed it.
