Fred, Rubin and Matt helped me move from my house in Sherman Oaks to my small apartment in West Hollywood and despite the 100 degree weather and squeezing everything into my new place, it was the quickest and easiest move I’ve ever done and for a great price. This was the 4th time I used NorthStar for a move. The company and people were great every time and this past weekend was no different. Calvin H., Marvin P. and Daniel R. were professional, nice and quick. Any move is stressful and they made the day easy, even in the heat.

NorthStar was recommended by my apartment building EVO as a preferred vendor. Called them late last week with a last minute request for today.
They were able to accommodate me on short notice and there communication was fantastic. They sent me a pricing list before I moved with pricing for moving supplies. Went to Home Depot before my move and spent $125 on boxes, tape, packaging. That same material purchased through them would have been 5x more.
They called to before hand to remind me about all aspects of the move including the double drive time (CA law).
The guys arrived early in the 2 hour window, called on the way as I had asked for. They moved all of my items without incident and even went back to the truck to dig for a little pack of screws that had fallen off of my table. All in all it was a great experience.
I will definitely use them again when I move out of here back to my home next year.

Late review: I used Northstar on August 22nd, Xavier was the supervisor for my move. He called when they were on the way so I could be prepared. The crew were very diligent in quickly yet safely packing all my belongings. They were very professional and kept me informed of the progress. When we got to my new home they asked what goes where so that unpacking would be easy for me. happy to say everything arrived at my new home in a very timely manner, whole move was just under 3 hrs, and everything was intact. I do not plan to move again soon but I would definitely recommend Xavier and his team to anyone who is planning a move.
They are awesome, efficient, hard working. Fo real fo real. Dopest movers I have ever had. Trust me, Hire them.

kevin, tobias and austin helped me move from oakland to san francisco today in 5 hours flat. they also helped to pack some of my kitchen (i ran out of boxes!) and they moved my super heavy, 100% latex mattress with no complaints! they were super kind, efficient and friendly – and even put back together my couch with a smile.
the women i spoke to on the phone who booked and confirmed my appointment were really informative, patient, professional and friendly as well.
i would totally recommend this moving company, and hope that you get this crew of gentlemen to help you out !

It seemed too good to be true but it was not. 5 guys packed my entire house, moved it, and partially unpacked it into my new house all in one day and for significantly less than the not-to-exceed price I was quoted. Piano, large furniture, 75 pieces of fine china, all unscathed. I can’t believe I ever moved on my own before.
Setting up a reservation with Ana on the phone was quick and easy. She was courteous and informative. Would recommend this company for customer service.
Great customer service, very professional. I requested a quote online very late one night, and received a follow-up phone call the next morning. Spoke with Ana about a local move – she was very friendly and easy to talk to, and quickly followed up with me by email with rates and next steps. She even voluntarily asked if I saw the Yelp deal to save me money!
Good experience with these movers. They’ve entails me how to go on Yelp and get a coupon to save $50. That doesn’t happen every day. Very satisfied.

We have used North Star Movers 3 times. Each time, from the estimate process to move day, has met or exceeded my expectations. Gil has done all 3 of our estimates and has been a pleasure to work with. He and his team remember who we are years after our moves. For our most recent move, Luis R, Jose T, Juan L, and Wilber C arrived and finished on time, took great care with our belongings, and were extremely polite. They were also personable and fun which made the day a lot less stressful. We enjoyed working with everyone and will definitely continue to use them.
Ramiro, William & Jimmy did an excellent job in moving me from Rancho Palos Verdes to my condo in Long Beach. They were exceptionally courteous, professional & quick with their service. Their prices were found as being super reasonable based on the competition. This moving company is the real deal….. Look no where else!!

I just met with Michael Pomeroy from Northstar. He came to our home to provide and estimate. Unfortunately, our dates didn’t align with their availability. However, Michael too the time to answer questions, gave us advice on moving insurance, helped us to evaluate other estimates, etc. I really appreciate the customer friendly approach and willingness to help us out.
Luis, Ruben, and Arbo were efficient and considerate. I couldn’t believe how fast they emptied my apartment! They really made moving a lot less stressful than it normally is. I would recommend Northstar to anyone in the LA and OC area.

I have moved 11 times over the last 8.5 years. I have used Northstar since the very start and everytime the guys move me quickly, safetly, and have great positive attitudes. Hopefully, this will be my last move and again, I am using Northstar.

Fantastic and easily the lowest price of the five bids. They boxed our mattress and springs. They blanket wrapped the furniture, taped it and shrink wrapped it, all included. Best of all they got our 500 lbs to LA from the Bay Area in a week. No extras were added to the quote. Hassle free and would use them again.

I have had to move 4 times in the last year due to life circumstances… Yep 4 times! Each time I used northstar because they are kind, courteous, efficient and just get the job done! A big thank you to them for making all these transitions a lot easier. And hopefully I don’t have to use you again soon! But if I do move again in the future you will be the first number I call! My North Star Movers just finished and they did an amazing job!! Orlando and his team were great. They moved everything quickly and very cautiously.
