As it was my first time moving, I had a wonderful experience! My talented crew were friendly, efficient and could’ve been wearing capes. They also did some impressive Tetris playing when moving into my storage space. I expect to call on them again whenever I might move out of that storage space.

Not a scratch. They offered to help with reassembling & what not but we declined so can’t say much there. But really, it was a very positive experience.

They also offered the cheapest rate (by only like $10 but still) & we called about 5 other places.
About the reviews, they do offer an additional discount if you’re willing to review but no pressure at all. There actually 1 other company that was priced the same but other yelpers noted they were pressured or even forced & I don’t like that so just really glad we found & used Northstar.

Incredible, wonderful experience with Northstar. A couple weeks prior to the move we had an in-home visit for an estimate. A couple days prior we got a call from a *real live person* to confirm the move time and answer any questions we had. On the day itself, the move was flawlessly executed by Eduardo C., Ruben B., and Erick R. They were waiting in the truck on our street 15 minutes prior the window we were given, and got right to work. We actually had to rush packing up the food from our fridge because they were so fast! All told they took *less than half* the time we had been given as an estimate – and that resulted in us having to pay half the cost we were expecting. Such a nice surprise on a stressful day. Highly recommended!

What amazing service! I called in a near panic with a week timeline to get our move arranged (long story, but not my fault). Ana was wonderful; she managed to find me an opening and worked with me to get all options to make sure the time slot worked. I was very worried about finding a moving company to work with us on such a tight timeline, and it was such a relief to hear how professional Ana was and how willing she was to work with me to fit me in. I called another couple of companies and was laughed at (in one case literally; thanks a lot, buddy)- thank you north star and Ana for being so awesome! I’ll update after our move as well!
Like many San Francisco residents, I am being displaced due to my landlord selling the building. I have 10 days to pack up and move a 2 bedroom home and I am freaking out. Who was going to move us? What date could we get at this eleventh hour? I opened up Yelp and right away called Northstar Moving. Michelle helped me right away. She assured me that my precious items in my house would be wrapped up, disassembled, and moved with care. Also, they will be reassembling my furniture in my new home for a very reasonable rate. I can now rest with ease that my move is in good hands. Michelle, if you are reading this, thank you! You were amazing and very reassuring! I am now looking forward to my move.
I am not often a yelp reviewer, however I decided to write a review due to the great experience I had with Northstar. Our estimator gave us by far the best quote we received, however I think he underestimated the job a bit. Ramiro, Chris and Miguel showed up and quickly and carefully took care of all of our valuables. This probably should have been a 4 man job to fit the budgeted time but they were polite, honest, and had a smile all day. Due to the under estimation of the job, they went over the budgeted time and still honored the agreed price.
I highly recommend northstar to anyone looking to move and if you’re in Los Angeles, ask for Ramiro, Chris and Miguel!

NorthStar Moving company was terrific. Everything went smoothly, from booking the move to the having the last piece of furniture installed in my daughter’s new apartment. Everyone in the company was polite and professional. The quality of their work was outstanding and their rates were very competitive. We felt our final bill was very fair. NorthStar movers is the best. EVER. I just finished my third, and smallest move with them today. This time, I moved to a new unit in the complex where we live and as usual it was a pain free if not somewhat pleasant experience. Given that moving can be a huge pain, this should speak volumes about the service.
Surprisingly enough we got a similar team this time — Hannes, Jose and Thomas. They worked quickly, diligently and got the job done in record time. I was particularly impressed with how swift they were with breaking down the furniture and reassembling it once we got into our new place. Hannes was expert in disassembling our master bed — which has proved to be tricky in the past.
I can’t say enough about the professionalism of this company, from the initial quote to the day before confirmation, and specifically the move team. They were courteous, friendly, and focused on providing great service. When putting together our guest bed, Hannes was kind enough to tell me that some of my screws were stripped, not a problem for assembly, but could be an issue if trying to break down the bed again. I was able to replace those before he assembled it so I didn’t run into a problem down the line.
Also when it came time to pay, he reminded me that I said I had a yelp coupon (I almost forgot!), so that was also appreciated.
Because of my great experiences so far, I don’t even look elsewhere when it comes time to move. Thank you NorthStar movers for providing an exceptional service at a very reasonable price!!

Moving: what a nightmare! The last time I moved I said next move will be in a pine box, feet first. But, then after 13 years, I decided to move again. That’s right. This was strictly voluntary. Nobody forced me. Yet, I really dreaded the move and all the broken things.

We moved from Pasadena to Diamond Bar and it was extremely stress free thanks to North Star and the three amazing guys they sent out: Andres R, Luis R, and Kevin H! Not only where they super quick and efficient with moving all our boxes (we had a ton) they were also extremely careful to make sure that everything was delivered without a scratch! I am so thankful a friend referred us to them!! It make moving so easy!! We will definitely be using them again!!!!

Luis R, Carlos Z, and Farid F were amazing! They came right on time, were very fast packing up and unloading at the new place, were very careful with our belongings, and definitely knew what they were doing. They made our move from Los Angeles to Huntington Beach super easy and I would definitely recommend this company for anyone with moving needs.
I am so pleased with my moving experience. The guys got in, did their job, and got my stuff to my new place quickly and carefully. They were even able to work while I was rushing to pack some final things in boxes. They were super transparent about pricing at the end, although I wish they had explained some of the lines they asked me to sign, rather than just highlighting and telling me to initial here and there.
We booked NorthStar for our move from SoCal to SF Bay Area as they were recommended by a good friend of ours and they truly met & even exceeded our expectations! Everyone (customer reps, packers, dispatchers and drivers) at NorthStar is friendly, helpful and professional. Also, their moving price was the best in the market! There was just one minor hiccup at the time of delivery but one of their client care representatives ‘Lisa Avelar’ handled our case very well. She was very prompt, super nice with us and instrumental in ensuring that we get the best customer service in a timely manner. We love NorthStar and would like to highly recommend them for both short as well as long distance moves.
