This will mark my fourth–yes, count it–fourth time hiring NorthStar for my move in five years.
So, what does that mean?
Well, it either means one of two things–that I’m always just itching for a change of scenery or that I like NorthStar so much I just want to keep them in business. Ha.
Whatever the case is, it’s my fourth in-town move with them in five years, so they’re definitely doing something I like. Maybe it’s the fact that they always set me up with hard workers, give decent pricing, ensure a smooth process overall and provide customer support par excellence from the likes of Stefy, a incredibly helpful and accommodating “Client Loyalty” rep with whom I spoke over the phone to help make this last booking a breeze. Yep, you read that right, “Client Loyalty Representative”, because that’s what I am–loyal–and for good reason so far. Looking forward to (hopefully not too many) more moves in the future.

Alex, Alfonso and Sam did our move and they were great! They were so careful with everything and were quick. Not one thing was damaged and they took apart our furniture and put everything back together.

Can I just say NorthStar is amazing! If I could give them more stars I would. First of all Moving is such a pain anyway and this one was just pure stress. We had a date set and everything in motion except movers. We had called, emailed a bunch of places, and honestly I had had enough I wasn’t comfortable with anyone and they all seemed shady. My boyfriend then took over and within minutes sent me this link. I called and Spoke to Beatrice and immediately was at ease. She was so nice and informed me of everything you would hope a company would tell you even the “hidden” fees as you would say. Which they didn’t have any. They were Very honest.
We had an apartment set to move and the date then we lost the first place due to someone not wanting to leave and had to “settle” for another one. This pushed our move up 2 weeks, I called Beatrice freaking out nearly crying worried we would have to pay an extra fee because we had moved up our move, She told me not to worry they would work it out. She put me on hold for a few moments got on the line and assured me they could have 3 guys for me on the day and it WOULD NOT COST EXTRA!!!!! What!?
The moving day came and we had 3 guys Christian, Christo, and Jaime. Let me tell you these poor guys had stairs everywhere. Not one complaint out of there mouth! They smiled and were even joking with me throughout the process. They were all very nice and moved fast! We had them for 4 hours and I knew it
would be longer we had a ton of stuff and Heavy stuff at that. All in all it took about 7 hours and it costs us under $700. Honestly It was well beyond worth it! I cant imagine moving ourselves and NorthStar made the “MOVING” Part so easy and painless. Thank you so much. I am beyond grateful. Thank God m

This was my first time ever using a moving company. I would definitely recommend North Star to anyone making a move in this city. Michael and his crew were impressively efficient, professional, and friendly. Nothing was damaged and we were moved from our one bed in soma to our 2 bed in Richmond within 5 hours.
Moved all of our stuff as we downsized from a 3 bedroom to a 2 bedroom apartment. Adrian, Julio and Kevin were very professional, on time and took great care with our belongings. Much much better than the last moving experience I had with a couple of guys I hired from the Uhaul website. Forget that, stick with the professionals.

Chase, Alex, Rafa, and Henry are the absolute best. These guys crushed our move. Super professional, really fast, and very careful with all of our belongings. If you need movers Northstar is the best choice and you should really request these guys. By far the best move I have ever had. And Gadi set it all up. He is the greatest guy ever. Easy to deal with. Came out to do the estimate fast and delivered confirmation same day. A really solid organization.

I can’t say enough great things about them. This is the second time we are using their services. From reservation to first greeting professional and courteous service. Finally getting around to part 2 of my 2 part review (Please read my first review dated 12/18/2014). Wanted to wait until I was completely unpacked,
and any and all issues were resolved to do my follow up.
Move in day happened exactly when they said it would, and they showed up first thing in the morning with a crew of 6 ready to roll. The crew was great,
and they unpacked and reassembled everything perfectly! My only complaint was the amount of tape involved. The unpack crew got most of it, but a
few of the items they missed were a pain to get the tape off of. Other than that, I was completely satisfied with the move in process!
I noticed a couple of weeks ago that 1 small box containing a few bathroom items, as well as my shop-vac were missing. I worked with customer service, and I am more than happy to say that by following the process my issues have all been reconciled! I understand when you have a move of this magnitude
(mine required 2 trucks), there is a chance of misplaced items. Northstar was fabulous, they took care of me every step of the way. I actually like to see how a company handles adversity. If everything goes according to plan, you have no way to judge how they will react when things dont go smoothly.
Northstar gets 6 stars (although stupid Yelp would only allow me to get them 5).

Thank you to Northstar Movers and their amazing moving team led by George. On the morning of our move, they called to let us know the time they were arriving which was right at our requested time . They quickly surveyed what was to be done and got right to work. All the movers were courteous, polite and hard working. Thank you to Northstar for making our move go well!
I have used Northstar Movers 2x for a long distance move from SoCal to Minneapolis. Both times, they did a phenomenal job from start to finish. They send someone to your home to assess the move and provide a quote. On the day of the move, they were prompt, courteous, efficient and friendly.
For the cross country move, they call to alert you when your belongings are leaving the state, and provide great communication along the way so you know when to expect delivery. All in all I had a great experience with Northstar Movers and would definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

I had a team of 3 – Jose garcia, Carlos, and Jerry. I remember all their names because they were all extremely gracious and highly communicative.
I booked my move 2 weeks out and had a great interaction with the North star team on the phone and as well on email
(I had to grab certificates of liability insurance from them and their office was extremely accommodating and responsive).
For the actual move, they called me at the beginning of my arrival range to give me a 30min window for the actual arrival.
The team had a big truck, lots of dollies, blankets, boxes of tape rolls. These guys literally do this for a living and acted very much like professionals.
I had 3 pickups and 1 dropoff – and the whole thing took 3.5 hours (4.25 with the drives). They even disassembled and reassembled my furniture,
which was an AMAZING help. So happy with these guys and would recommend them to anyone!
