The team was great – Adrian, Jose and Vidal arrived at our apartment promptly (with a call in advance to tell us they were coming) and worked quickly and efficiently to pack up our apartment, including taking apart and then putting back together some beds and shelving. Nothing was damaged, we moved a two bedroom apartment in less than 5 hours. The Yelp deal is a great promotion – I would use NorthStar again.
2nd time using Northstar here in Los Angeles. They’re solid on all points. I booked the move with ease. Jessica helped me in the first move and helped me again. She was able to honor my rates from last time, which was great! Rebecca followed up and made sure i was aware of all various charges and fees
associated with the move…very thorough. Hannes and the guys took care of my stuff and got me to my new location with ease. I’ll probably move in a year…and i’ll call these guys again.
Richard Carrillo, Alex Fajardo, Hector Rivera were fantastic workers!!! I’ve never seen movers work so quickly and safely. We had had many pick ups and two drop offs and they went full speed the whole time. Really impressed, they were beasts! I will be using these guys again 🙂

Wow all I have to say is… SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE!!! Sam, Alex jr, and Ruben came to my house in brentwood on January 5 and moved my stuff to my new place in downtown and they where AMAZING. All three guys where so kind and considerate and wrapped ALL my stuff when i told them that they didnt have to! I seriously could not imagine a better bunch of guys, they worked really fast, and totally went the extra mile. The best group of guys for the best moving company ever!!!!
Used Northstar again for my move today and they were exceptional. Courteous and prompt as usual, and they went above and beyond to fit large furniture through tiny spaces. They’re the best and I plan to call them when I move again!! Thanks Northstar! 🙂

I’ve used Northstar twice – once for a local move in Los Angeles, and then to move from LA to Austin, TX. They were awesome both times. The reviews here are so glowing that I dug around online, trying to see if they were paying for good reviews or something, but they really are just that great!

My cross-country move took longer, because they have to wrap everything in plastic. The movers warned me about things that might not make it (like a very wobbly bookshelf), but they packed everything so well that nothing broke!
The really long delivery window is the biggest pain about moving cross-country, but Northstar’s wasn’t too bad. Mine was 10 days long, they kept me very well updated, and my stuff made it in 7 days. I would definitely recommend these guys for your next move!

AMAZING! I had an excellent experience with my December 28 year-end local move with NorthStar. NorthStar moved me from Pasadena to South Pasadena and they made it seem effortless! James, the driver, called in advance to let me know they were on the way early Sunday morning prior to our 8am start time. James, along with Alex and Tamir were able to move the contents of the studio apartment to the new location and up the stairs in under three hours. While most of my belongings were packed, some items needed to be packed. The crew had supplies in the truck and packed and taped items prior to moving. Alex, Tamir and James were professional, friendly and considerate. All of my belongings arrived in perfect condition, and I got through moving day with no stress, no hassle. These guys take credit cards. From telephone support staff, Rebecca and Jessica looking out for me, and the crew treating me like a valued customer, I give top rating to NorthStar Movers for a truly stress-free move.
This is the second time I’ve used North Star to move and the crew we had made the move a breeze. Christopher Mejia, team leader along with Ramiro, Eduardo and Jose were super helpful and went above and beyond. Chris and his team helped me reorganize the baby furniture, when I kept changing my mind. They were quick to do the job and I even had to beg them to take a break when I bought some donuts for everyone. I am very pleased with this group and recommend them to my family and friends.
Northstar moving company was wonderful today – they made our move flawless and painless. They helped overcome many challenges such as extra large furniture and a big refrigerator we weren’t sure would make it out – but John made it happen beautifully. They’re professional and timely and FAST. There weren’t any damages to our stuff our either place we were leaving/moving into. I would absolutely call them again for my next move and will be recommending them to my friends.
Had an amazing experience with North Star Movers!! They helped move my grandma from West Covina to Newport Beach yesterday in the rain. We had Hector, Carlos, and Ramiro helping us. They called to let us know they were running ahead of schedule and could start early (always a plus for me!). They had her house packed up in about 2 hours. They were INCREDIBLY fast and professional, even listening to my 94 year old grandmas stories sometimes. They also let us pack up plants in their truck and made sure the flowers wouldn’t break off.
When we got to the new apartment, they put down mats and plastic on the brand new carpet since their shoes were muddy from the rain. Another huge plus for us and showed that they were willing to go the extra step. They also were accommodating to the other members of the apartment complex by moving the truck when in the way. All in all, I would 100% recommend these guys again. Very professional, helpful, made sure everything was packed well, and made our moving experience smooth and easy.
