Chase, Alex, Rafa, and Henry are the absolute best. These guys crushed our move. Super professional, really fast, and very careful with all of our belongings. If you need movers Northstar is the best choice and you should really request these guys. By far the best move I have ever had. And Gadi set it all up. He is the greatest guy ever. Easy to deal with. Came out to do the estimate fast and delivered confirmation same day. A really solid organization.

Finally getting around to part 2 of my 2 part review (Please read my first review dated 12/18/2014). Wanted to wait until I was completely unpacked,
and any and all issues were resolved to do my follow up.
Move in day happened exactly when they said it would, and they showed up first thing in the morning with a crew of 6 ready to roll. The crew was great,
and they unpacked and reassembled everything perfectly! My only complaint was the amount of tape involved. The unpack crew got most of it, but a
few of the items they missed were a pain to get the tape off of. Other than that, I was completely satisfied with the move in process!
I noticed a couple of weeks ago that 1 small box containing a few bathroom items, as well as my shop-vac were missing. I worked with customer service, and I am more than happy to say that by following the process my issues have all been reconciled! I understand when you have a move of this magnitude
(mine required 2 trucks), there is a chance of misplaced items. Northstar was fabulous, they took care of me every step of the way. I actually like to see how a company handles adversity. If everything goes according to plan, you have no way to judge how they will react when things dont go smoothly.
Northstar gets 6 stars (although stupid Yelp would only allow me to get them 5).

I have used Northstar Movers 2x for a long distance move from SoCal to Minneapolis. Both times, they did a phenomenal job from start to finish. They send someone to your home to assess the move and provide a quote. On the day of the move, they were prompt, courteous, efficient and friendly.
For the cross country move, they call to alert you when your belongings are leaving the state, and provide great communication along the way so you know when to expect delivery. All in all I had a great experience with Northstar Movers and would definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

I had a team of 3 – Jose garcia, Carlos, and Jerry. I remember all their names because they were all extremely gracious and highly communicative.
I booked my move 2 weeks out and had a great interaction with the North star team on the phone and as well on email
(I had to grab certificates of liability insurance from them and their office was extremely accommodating and responsive).
For the actual move, they called me at the beginning of my arrival range to give me a 30min window for the actual arrival.
The team had a big truck, lots of dollies, blankets, boxes of tape rolls. These guys literally do this for a living and acted very much like professionals.
I had 3 pickups and 1 dropoff – and the whole thing took 3.5 hours (4.25 with the drives). They even disassembled and reassembled my furniture,
which was an AMAZING help. So happy with these guys and would recommend them to anyone!

This is my 4th time using them and I always ask for the morning crew because they are fresh, well rested and quick! This past Sunday I had the pleasure of working with Randy Chicas, Nery and Francisco. They are a couple of polite, professional, strong guys who know what they are doing and work with any special needs you may have. They helped me put my beast of a platform canopy bed together and negotiated tight corners with no damage to the home or my stuff in a little over two hours.

From start to finish, NorthStar proved itself professional, helpful and most importantly very honest. I’ve moved 5 times and this, by far was the best company I’ve ever hired. Showed up on time, worked hard, careful with everything, set everything up in our brand new home 3 level house perfectly, and were very pleasant throughout the day. The movers never complained even though it was a long day for them and seemed to truly care about doing a great job. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone who needs to move in the future, just perfect and professional all the way. Specifically ask for Noe and Rodolfo. They are fast and careful. Also, NorthStar’s prices are just right. Although some were cheaper, if you see their rating on Yelp I am sure you won’t mind paying “slightly” a bit more. AWESOME MOVERS! Don’t go with any other company but NorthStar.
Northstar movers were fast and efficient. Javier’s crew was great. Honestly they were awesome and I’d hire them again.
Moving sucks, but Northstar made it as fantastic of an experience as it could be. We moved from San Francisco to NYC and from the beginning Northstar was
friendly, communicative, prompt, considerate of our things and all in all amazing. We moved 5100 lbs of stuff, a lot of it easy to scratch, break and destroy Ikea
furniture. Not one thing arrived broken or even blemished. Seriously! Further, EVERYTHING came. We had tons of individual, non-boxed items that I thought for
sure would get lost. Nope. Every single thing, from guitars to individual ski poles arrived. Also, both the guys who picked up our stuff and the guys who dropped
our stuff off were awesome. Hard workers, fast and considerate.
Northstar even work with our travel schedule to ensure that our items would be delivered after we arrived from a lengthy road trip. Although the delivery window
they quoted was long (we were thinking it would arrive late Feb), it showed up Feb 12, ten days before we thought it would.
Last summer my parents made the move from NYC to San Francisco and used North American Van Lines. HORRIBLE. Never communicated with them, took a
month to get the stuff, destroyed expensive furniture and the guys who did the delivery were jerks.
Needless to say, we were nervous for this move after their experience, but I could not recommend NorthStar more.
Again, Northstar is the moving company to use! My husband and I used Northstar about two years ago when we moved into our current building, so when we decided to buy another unit to move into and rent out our old one, Northstar was the only moving company we even considered. We were essentially swapping two units’ worth of furniture within the same building, and the three guys who came to help us (on Valentine’s Day, nonetheless!) were perfection. Friendly, efficient, cooperative, careful (not one thing broke and not one scratch was left on our very soft wood flooring!), and insanely fast! And the two women I worked with before the move to coordinate everything were fantastic. I only ever recommend Northstar to anyone I know moving, impossible to beat!
NorthStar helped me move from LA to SF so this is for the LA part of the move. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, from Beatriz who initially explained how everything works, to Alan who came out to my place for the moving estimate, to Rebecca who followed up with me the day before the move, and the three amazing movers that worked so hard to make sure that my furniture is all nicely wrapped and packaged so they wouldn’t break during the transport. They were super fast, very professional and friendly, and made it such an easy process for me. The only thing is that there may have been some miscommunication between the dispatch people. I was not contacted for delivery until almost 5pm the day before. I called several times to get an update and was given a different expected delivery date every time. And on the delivery date, the movers called to let me know that they’d deliver at 10:30am, which is different from the noon to 4pm window that I was given. But these guys were super flexible and we were able to reschedule the delivery to a later time and everything worked out great! Thank you!

Just finishing up another move with NorthStar moving company. Adrian, Isael, Antonio and Julio did a fantastic job. They got us out of a second floor walk up apartment to a single family home. Very pleased with the service. They are professional and courteous. Highly recommend them!
I moved last weekend and Louis, Hector, and Yvan helped and they were amazing! Super quick, very nice, very helpful, and made my move so much less stressful. I have never had an easier time moving. There were no hidden costs (they charge for bubble wrap and tape usage) and Lynn, who was also awesome, tells you this when you first book the appointment. I would definitely recommend them and would totally use them again, though hopefully not soon as I HATE moving. All-in-all, they were awesome.
Adrian and his team were great for our company move. They were on time, polite and worked very hard. Everything arrived in perfect shape. They took the time to take our conference table apart (not easy) and put it back together again perfectly. Great guys!

I am really impressed with Northstar and their professionalism! Gil came to my home and gave me a quote (reasonable and professional) and Gil always answered my never ending emails quickly. The 3 movers -Mark, Hector and Andres were AMAZING! they were on time, saved me a HUGE headache of packing (moving is already stressful enough). They were really wonderful. Very happy with the moving experience. Great set of guys, all were helpful (even helped our neighbor with her stroller), arrived on time (8am), and superhero strong (one guy carried our entire queen mattress and heavy kitchen island on his own??!!). Communication was stellar including getting our rather strict home owners association rules to everyone involved and they gave us a great alternative deal when booking. It does work out a lot cheaper if you buy your own materials (boxes, plastic wrap and packing tape) which they will happily use. I wasn’t a fan of their own brown packing tape as it was hard to remove from furniture etc (only complaint). Would definitely use them again but hoping we won’t have to move again for a long time!
Every single person I have interacted with at North Star was excellent. From the moment you call them to the end of my delivery, every employee was jovial, helpful, and overall great. I called them on a Tuesday and they were able to arrange movers for that weekend. They confirmed the move the day before and even offered to do it earlier than they promised. Xavier and his crew were right on time at arrival and moved my stuff to my new apartment without a single scratch on anything. I simply could not have asked for more. These guys truly make the world a better place.
