Had an amazing experience with North Star Movers!! They helped move my grandma from West Covina to Newport Beach yesterday in the rain. We had Hector, Carlos, and Ramiro helping us. They called to let us know they were running ahead of schedule and could start early (always a plus for me!). They had her house packed up in about 2 hours. They were INCREDIBLY fast and professional, even listening to my 94 year old grandmas stories sometimes. They also let us pack up plants in their truck and made sure the flowers wouldn’t break off.
When we got to the new apartment, they put down mats and plastic on the brand new carpet since their shoes were muddy from the rain. Another huge plus for us and showed that they were willing to go the extra step. They also were accommodating to the other members of the apartment complex by moving the truck when in the way. All in all, I would 100% recommend these guys again. Very professional, helpful, made sure everything was packed well, and made our moving experience smooth and easy.
The gentlemen that helped my move from reseda to culver city were quick, friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend.

NorthStar Moving Company made our recent move to Dallas, TX a stress-free process! From the initial consultation with Alan, who walked us through every detail of the move and was always happy to change our estimate if needed, to the arrival of our goods 10 days later and the wonderful help Jessie and his crew provided, I cannot recommend NorthStar Moving Company enough.

North Star movers were great. We had contacted them for a quote via telephone and they were quick to provide us with a quote for three movers within two weeks from our call. They guys called to confirm time of move 3 days in advance, as promised. On the morning of the move, they called us 30 min before arrival and actually came a few min early, as promised. They had all the packing supplies needed for any furniture that still needed to be packed. All three were experienced, courteous and fast. They were also very careful with our belongings and packed delicate items carefully. They quoted us about 2 hours to pack and load, 45 min drive time, and 2 hours to unload and sure enough, they were right on the ball with their estimates. John, the head honcho who helped us on moving day, even had some money-saving ideas for us.
They made the process very easy for us. I would absolutely use North Star Moving again but hope to never have to move again any time soon! Thank you North Star Moving.
My earlier experiences with movers had been a mixed bag. Damaged items, even some stolen items. And let’s face it, moving is
never fun under the best of circumstances– which is why I had stayed in my most recent place for 12 years. But the time finally came to uproot again,
and I have to say, thanks to the decision to hire NorthStar, this move went about as well as a move ever goes.
They send an estimator to take a look at your space, and Gil was ours. He was friendly, low-key, and his numbers seemed very fair.
I particularly appreciated the “not to exceed” number he gave me. There are some kinda-hidden charges regarding shrink-wrapping
and other materials costs, but at least I got warning of those before the move happened, not after when I couldn’t do anything about them.
So a couple days before the move I went out and bought a few materials at a lower price, and on the day, the crew cheerfully used those
first instead of their own.
My crew were Joshua, Chris and Joey, and they were fantastic. They showed up exactly on time (to the minute!) and got straight to work. They’re wizards with shrink-wrap, and did such a good job with the wrapping that when the inevitable accident occurred with a piece of my bed frame, there was no actual damage done at all. Everyone was very friendly, very fast, and seemed to be constantly on the lookout for
ways to make my move go faster and smoother. They got done before the estimated time and charged me fairly. (By the way, keep an eye out for Yelp deals here–I got a voucher that definitely helped.)
This move was just Part 1, into storage–Part 2 will come when my girlfriend and I find a new place together. And one thing is for sure: I’ll be calling NorthStar again for the next round.
I had a wonderful experience with NorthStar. The level of customer service and professionalism was great. The 3 men who packed my belongings came on time, they were efficient, hardworking, and pleasant. Although 3 boxes were accidentally left NorthStar took care of it immediately. I actually have to take the blame, since I performed a final walk through after they were done and forgot to look inside one of my closets. When I noticed boxes were left I immediately called the company and spoke with Juan. Juan was amazing. I expressed to Juan that I was worried that my belongings would get lost since they were not with the original shipment. He was extremely understanding and promised to personally make sure my boxes would be included with my other belongings. He even promised to stay at work until my shipment arrived. He found someone to pick up my boxes right away. He called me when my boxes arrived and called when my other shipment arrived at the warehouse. He personally placed my boxes with the other items and took a picture of it for me. I was extremely appreciative of his level of service. Juan truly went over and beyond.
My shipment arrived within the stated window. The movers who delivered my belongings were also friendly and professional. However, one of my lamps was accidentally broken. I called NorthStar to inform them and to begin the claim process. I left a message with someone and I was immediately sent claim forms. It was during the holidays so I didn’t have much time to fill out the forms. However, a representative from NorthStar- Monica, called me to inquire about the claim and damage. She handled everything for me over the phone. I sent pictures of the damage, signed a form, and received a check the following week. I was so impressed at how proactive they were to address the problem. Mistakes happen. But the level of customer service I received from NorthStar doesn’t happen every day. They are truly a company that values their customers and strives to provide excellent service.

I had originally seen NorthStar Moving Company a few times in my neighborhood, and thought I should take their number down just in case, you never know… As I asked one of the guys for the number I noticed the movers were very polite; soon thereafter I would be giving them a call to move me, funny how things work out. I called and spoke to Stefy at (800) 275-7767 or (213) 222-7767 to make arrangements. Stefy was extremely helpful and caring. I was on a timeline and my circumstances required my move to happen very quickly. The movers, Chase, Jaime and Tony were not only super polite. I had a couple of very heavy pieces including a very long buffet they not only wrapped the items and literally carried them out like babies, they were fast and efficient. I cannot thank them all enough for their help with my transition. I highly recommend them!!! Thanks you guys!!!
They came within the first half hour of their arrival window, and worked diligently and rapidly as soon as they crossed the front steps. A crew of 3 movers emptied out a 3 bedroom flat with kitchen, living and dining rooms under 3 hours. They took slightly less than that to unload and reassemble furniture in my new home. My jaw is still on the floor. John and his crew are great and I highly recommend this business.

I used NorthStar a few weeks ago to help me out with my move, and WHOA these guys are awesome! Chase, Luis, and Miguel were on top of everything. They arrived on time and even called me ahead to let me know where they were. They arrived and brought out the paperwork and explained everything very thoroughly. I had a move from storage so everything was already packed and all they had to do was move it. They moved quick like lightning and got the job done for me! NorthStar Movers were absolutely awesome!! Originally, the movers were scheduled to come between 12-5pm, but I called a few days before and asked if they could come earlier and they kindly accommodated by request and moved their arrival time to 8-10am. I received a call at 7:30am from Adrian informing that they would arrive in approx. 30 minutes and they were at my apartment at 7:55am! I was lucky enough to have a 4-man crew consisting of Nate, Adrian, Misa, Rene. As soon as they got there, the guys got right to work and got everything packed up in about 30 minutes. The apartment that I moved into is on the 4th floor and doesn’t have an elevator– so the guys had to carry up about 10 big bins, a mattress, a box spring, and two dressers, and were extremely efficient! Overall, the move took about 90 minutes, and was 100% worth the money! GREAT EXPERIENCE, highly recommended.
NorthStar has moved me three times. Today, Nate, Adran, Misa and Rene performed beyond any reasonable expectation. They packed my things speedily and carefully. They were amazingly friendly, communicative, and very helpful. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Had the pleasure to work with Adrian, Mike, Noe, and Rodalfo. These guys blew past my expectations and got my move done hours earlier than anticipated. Even though elevators were already being used by other movers, these guys knocked out all of our stuff walking up three flights of stairs.
Professional, accountable, and extremely friendly. Loved how much stress they took off our shoulders.

Fantastic and ultra professional service from providing the initial quote to executing the move. Always on time, fast, efficient, professional, no damages, friendly, thorough, and came under budget. They provide a “not to exceed” quote, which means you know the max ceiling of the move. The actual move may cost you less because they bill by hours and they are very efficient. We got the full service from packing to unpacking and it was worth every penny. Will recommend to all friends. One of the few times ever when you feel grateful and a service is money well spent!

Moved from SF to LA, everything went very smoothly and as described. Both teams–Artem/Carlos/Bidal in SF and Christopher/Ramiro/Abraham in LA–were wonderful, and Juan the dispatcher was lovely and helped shepherd my things according to my somewhat challenging schedule. I recommend!
I chose NorthStar Movers on the recommendation of a friend and after doing my due diligence of review-reading and price-shopping with both NorthStar Movers and other moving companies. I was not disappointed and highly recommend NorthStar Movers.
My 3 movers were scheduled to arrive between 8 & 10 am. Chris, Obidio, and Ramiro arrived just after 8–Chris even rang beforehand letting me know they were on their way. My move was quite local, and these 3 got it done well under the estimated time even with packing up the odds and ends that I
had been unable to pack due to running out of steam…and boxes. They took great care with all my belongings and my new place where they put plastic coverings down on my nice hardwood floors.
I had never hired movers before, and this was a great 1st experience. I’m hoping to not have to move in the next few years, but if I do, I’ll be sure to call North Star Movers again.
Estimated time was about 12-6 PM, they showed up at about 3:30 PM, and now at 6:30 PM I’m just about all loaded up into my new apartment! Adrian, Misael, Jose, and Vidal were all very helpful, were careful with my stuff, took direction well, and overall made my moving experience very pleasant. Anything you don’t have packed, they can get together very quickly. All in all, I am very satisfied with my experience with North Star and would recommend to others, especially with the Yelp coupon.

From start to finish they were very professional, overly courteous and friendly to make sure every part of your move is done smoothly. Alma was the lady we spoke to on the phone to get things started and she always sounded like she had your best interest in mind. The guy “John” and the 2 other movers (who deserves huge amount of recognition) also made sure our time was valuable and didn’t waste any time moving.
I also give them 5 Stars because we did have an incident with another “5 Star” moving company that really was a “1 Star”. Feel free to scroll down to read that post about a year ago. So when I say that NorthStar deserves 5 Stars…we truly mean it. We would definitely use them again in the future.
