These guys were GREAT. They were very responsive when I was getting quotes and patiently answered all my questions even before we booked them. We moved from a three-bedroom townhouse in Fremont to a five-bedroom single family home in Union City. While we had moved a lot of smaller items ourselves, we still had some big ones that we needed help with, such as our washer and dryer, seven-piece sectional sofa, two beds and more.
We had a team of three men and one truck and they were on top of their game the whole time. They carefully and thoroughly wrapped our furniture in blankets/covers and helped us box up items that we didn’t have time to pack ourselves. They moved quickly and were incredibly courteous, helpful and respectful of us and our stuff. We also have several jigsaw puzzles that we had glued together — obviously very fragile. They packed them up well in boxes with paper to cushion them.
Our move only took 4-5 hours. There was no extra charge for moving on a Sunday, and they even pointed out the Yelp deal to us before we paid to make sure we would take advantage of the $150 for $60 voucher. All in all, I would highly recommend them!

Not only were they more than capable, they were extremely fast, polite, hard-working, and careful with all my stuff. There were no snags at all (arrived on time, moved quickly) and they even finished the job a bit faster than I expected which as anyone coordinating a move around LA knows, makes things soooo much easier on you. Thank you for doing a great job and setting a high bar for movers. The guys you sent me were top notch workers with great attitudes too.

I recently had to schedule a move on 3 days worth of notice. Well, my partner called NorthStar on Wednesday, they arrived promptly at the agreed upon time come Friday and everything was squared away in no time. Not only were they quick and professional, the price was more than reasonable. I’d absolutely use them again.

I had a chance to use these movers again because they were amazing 🙂 this move was on 9 – 17 – 2014 and my movers : hannes, matthew and miguel, we’re nothing short of being on time, punctual, and cheerful the whole time. They got in and out with no problem and always helpful when I need to move again Northstar is who I will call 🙂

Just moved with NorthStar today and the three guys were helpful, careful and made our move really smooth. They got everything done quickly and set us up completely before lunchtime. Great sense of humor and just made it so easy. Everything was wrapped up to keep things safe and nothing was broken. They hustled through the move despite it being a very hot day and we couldn’t be happier with their service. Thank you Hannes, Jose and Nery…you made this a great experience. We’ll definitely be using NorthStar for any future moves!

Josue and his crew were great. Very efficient and never slowed down even when the temperature outside reads 105°. All items were moved without a scratch. This is the third time I’ve used Northstar and they’ve never disappointed. Well done guys!
Great service! Prompt hard workers! Our crew Adrian (team leader), Vidal, Simon and Jason did a fantastic job. They did a long haul move for us from SF to Sacramento. They took good care of my now deceased grandmother’s belongings. I would highly recommend them to anyone!! We will in fact be hiring them again soon and asking for this exact same crew!
