I was nervous about hiring movers, but had a good experience with the NorthStar Moving team for a local move in the LA area. They arrived on time, worked quickly, and I actually ended up paying less than I expected because everything went so fast. They did charge for materials, but that didn’t add up like I expected – they were very fair. They made sure to put back together anything they took apart to put in their truck, which in our case was one bed and a few lamps. We haven’t found anything damaged or missing in the move. (To be fair, we did move fragile valuables like work computers, musical instruments, and jewelry ourselves. I would recommend this to anyone hiring movers.) Some other reviewers here have claimed they were offered compensation for a review, but I wasn’t. I’m posting this because I found other reviews helpful when I was researching moving companies so now I’m trying to help as well. I’d recommend NorthStar for local moves in the LA area.
Had a bunch of furniture that needed to be moved from a 3rd floor apartment. Kevin and Jose were on time, professional, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Will definitely use NorthStar in the future!
Albert’s team is the best. If you are moving, use Northstar but specifically Alberts team. Literally makes your move 1000 times easier with them. Extremely professional and good people!

My first time using movers and I couldn’t be happier. These movers do it right. From the very beginning the level of customer service has been great. I decided on NorthStar Moving initially because the company stood out from others since they offered to provide a quote after meeting and seeing the space via video chat. Today, the team of four arrived exactly at the time they said they would, and they moved everything into the large truck with efficiency and attention to detail, and honestly helped out with every special request we made. They broke down the beds, safely secured all the furniture, and we even had a good amount of plants. Well, they packed that too! Having experienced professionals with the right tools do all the heavy lifting (literally!) quickly and with care was SO worth it!
Abel Alonzo and Alex were great. They helped us move during the rain and were professional and got the job done. Big thanks to Northstar and those guys. Thanks again and I will use them again for my next move.

I used PODS to move my apartment from Atlanta to Glendale, and my new neighbor recommended Northstar, and I’m so glad I did! Abel and Edgar was quick, amazing and efficient from start to finish. Additionally, my PODS arrived earlier than expected and after a phone call, then arrived not too long after and changed my window time – which was appreciated. I appreciate the work that they did and also their warm personalities!

NorthStar Moving did an outstanding job moving my stuff from California to Texas. Everything was packaged with care at pickup and delivered safe and sound. The guys were all very professional and nice, and they communicated well with status updates during the move. They also had a quick turnaround time. We’re using NorthStar Moving again. If you’ve been following me for a little bit of time you know that we used them when we moved into the condo and this is the best part we didn’t have to like look for separate storage. So they have a storage facility so basically we’re renting storage from them.[Music] So they’ve already packed up everything upstairs as I showed you and now they’re labeling it so they can move it to the car so this is, I love how they do this because then you know exactly how many items got packed up. My family has moved with Northstar Moving three or four times and each time they go the extra mile and are very professional. They’ll work with you ahead of time to get a sense of how big the move will be and what you’ll need in terms of boxes and preparation ahead of the move day. They’ll work with you on problem solving such as fitting couches through narrow and stubborn sliding glass doors. Their movers are friendly, honest and reliable.
These guys were so friendly, efficient and organized. All moving labels were printed with my name on it so they could keep my stuff together for my out of state move from LA to Seattle. Nothing was broken, nothing was missing when it arrived at the destination, and everything arrived as it should. I would use them again.
William, Jose, and Milton were so professional and quick and thorough. I will definitely use them again! They wrapped all my furniture and took care of everything with smiles on their face!
