We are currently using Northstar for a move from LA to SF Bay Area, from a 3BR to 3BR. I was with the LA crew while they packed up everything and loaded it on to the truck. We have used movers several times in the past and i felt that these guys (Jason, Julia, Feliz and Ezquiel) did a great job handling the items and not rushing everything to the street. Movers we have worked with before would have rushed and broken things. They were also very flexible, used a lot of common sense in the packing process, and were a pleasure to work with.

Moving is a stressful process, no matter how far, but moving from northern California to Virginia had my stomach tied in knots! After researching local companies I called NorthStar Moving. Speaking with Ana and Jessica put my mind and stomach at ease. Any time I called they were patient, friendly, and calm, not to mention competent and knowledgable. I was given all costs and requirements upfront, over the phone and in an email.
I was in the midst of travel contract work and had to drive some of my belongings from my temporary apartment to my storage unit in order to meet the NorthStar truck. I was given a window of 8:00-10:00 am on a Wednesday back in April. Jason and his crew arrived at the facility at 8:05, and I ended up being a little late! Jason’s crew was great handled my items carefully! I felt much better and secure that my things were safe in their Hayward storage facility until I let them know when I was available to receive them on the other end in Virginia.
Once I was able to receive my items in May I called NorthStar headquarters office. Adam did a wonderful job of getting the process going for my delivery. I was given a delivery window, but unfortunately the truck making multiple deliveries across the country could not arrive until the day after the window I was given. Dispatch at NorthStar was very apologetic and discounted $50 from my remaining cost. Everything arrived in good condition, and I could breathe a sigh of relief.
NorthStar was a great choice for me, and I would recommend them to anyone!

I was in a hurry to move and checked Angie’s List and Yelp. Northstar came highly recommended. Well they just helped me move. They are surpasses my expectations! They are fast , courteous and professional, and their fees are very reasonable! Rodney, Orlando and Elmer did a great job for me. Five+ stars!!!
These guys stayed late into the evening to make sure we were completely packed up for our move to Austin, Texas. They did a great job, especially the crew we had on moving day. We had our doubts that they would finish on time but they did. They moved a lot of stuff for us no questions asked. Hopefully we get a crew as hard working and courteous on the Austin side of our move. Really impressed with how hard these guys work. So far so good with Northstar. Highly recommended.

These guys rock! They just moved me up to the 3rd floor with no elevator! On a hot Los Angeles day! Not a thing scratched! Four guys came, all very nice and worked their butts off! I highly recommend Nothstar Movers.

Just completed my move today with Northstar. My schedule block was 8a-10a and I got a call at 7:45 from Josue mentioning they would be there within 30 minutes. The crew, Jeovani and Obidio arrived at 8:15 and were amazing. Moved our entire place by 11:30 and on to the truck. At our new place by 12 and unloaded by 2:30. Great professionalism and communication throughout. Really appreciate the speed and care for our items. Would highly recommend.
Moving is always a stressful experience, but it was much alleviated by these guys.
The loading was absolutely fantastic. Leon and his team worked fast, efficiently, and were extremely thorough in wrapping everything — does covering everything with a blanket and then taping over it and then saran wrapping the whole thing count as excessive??
Not only that, they were extremely professional. This was tested by the ridiculous HOA board of our condo, who came into our place twice to berate us and the movers about ‘potentially’ damaging the elevator–which was in no way damaged. They continued to hinder Leon and his team and this got so ridiculous near the end of the process that they had to move our queen sized mattress and box spring down 3 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. Which they did with a much better attitude than we ourselves had towards the HOA. What a great team of guys. I only hope that the guys unloading our stuff are as great. Thank you guys!

Awesome service! This is the second time I have moved using NorthStar and my crew leader David was great, as was his moving team! The service has proven to be very consistent and I would recommend using NorthStar for any move.
I am moving from Riverside CA all the way to the East coast. It’s already a lot of stress when it comes to changing environment, moving with my wife and two of our cats is even more challenging. David, the Foreman, is very professional and friendly, well explain the process and the paperwork that are needed. I am very satisfied with the service. Highly recommended!! I will definitely use their service again in the future if I move back to SoCal.
Working with them was a great experience, and they provided excellent service through the pickup process. They were very flexible and accommodating with my inquiries on price, adding/removing items, and overall provided a great customer experience.

Rodney, Kenny, and Josh did a great job moving my one-bedroom apartment today. They were efficient, polite, and very nice! The team arrived on schedule and worked quickly. They were also cat friendly!
Prior to moving day, Julie and the customer care team were great about answering all my questions in a timely and courteous manner.

NorthStar was fantastic. They were able to move me on short notice (~2 wks) in the peak of moving season when every other company I contacted was giving me the runaround. They were fast, courteous and completely professional – they even showed up early for the job and completed it under their estimated time frame. This company was a lifesaver. They made what might otherwise have been a very hectic, stressful experience a total breeze.
Javier Madrid, Alejondro R., Teck were our movers today. We were very impressed by their friendly, efficient, and hardworking services. They wrapped all of our furniture, very careful not to scratch anything. They disassembled and reassembled our bed frame as well as the sofa. Our sofa is too big to fit into the elevator of our new home so they carried the heavy large piece through the also small stairways, doing their best to maneuver it. They put their best effort in the work and it was definitely the best moving services we’ve ever had.

We had a wonderful experience (which is a first with any moving company for us!) They were on-time, extremely fast and professional. They were paid by the hour so we were worried that they would take their time with everything (which has happened to us before), but that was not the case. We were so impressed with how quick and efficient they were. They pack our entire apartment as well which is a service I definitely recommend if you work full time. Saved us a huge headache. Highly recommend them.

This is the second time I’ve used North Star Movers — and I’m so glad I did! I had used them previously to move from So Cal to Nor Cal back in 2011, and just used them for a local move in LA.
Our move was long, and what complicated — we had two pickups before getting to our final destination, but Josue R, Hannes, and Obidio made it a BREEZE. My fiance and I were moving in together and as you can imagine we had LOADS of items. The team took care to get everything in and out, without any scratches, dings or nicks.
The team is professional, courteous, and works hard to make sure your items arrive safely and with no issues. From the moment I called, until the moment they pulled away, I was met with nothing but professionalism. The rates are fair, and the services is exactly what you want out of movers.
