We had a good experience with NorthStar. It started with the load-day. Our team leader, Jason, and his crew worked hard and were extremely professional. They packed everything super nicely and handled all our valuables with extreme care. It was as if they were packing their own stuff. They even worked through lunch to get our things loaded so we could be on our way (as we were driving south).
For the delivery, they gave us a window of 1-7 days. We called a couple days afterwards and requested to possibly get it delivered as soon as possible. They were able to accommodate our request and we were very pleased. Cesar, the dispatcher was understanding of our situation and made every effort to deliver early.
The delivery itself was a little challenging. They brought the wrong truck so our stuff was not there. We waited about 2 hours for our truck with our stuff on it. John and his crew worked hard to unload our stuff quickly though. They did it in about 2.5 hours which was great.
Moving Tip – One thing to note when they move boxes or furniture, there is no upside down or right side up – they just move it like a plain box. Therefore, things such as our file cabinet – which we had left our files in were moved around upside down so everything was jumbled. I recommend removing items from things such as dressers, file cabinets, etc. prior to moving.
We also had one piece of furniture missing. Customer service has indicated they are looking into it and will contact me within 24-48 hours. Hopefully they find it. I will update again.
UPDATE – they found our missing furniture and are delivering it to us. Again, customer service at NorthStar is great. Cesar, the dispatcher, called me and arranged for the drop-off of the piece. Will definitely use NorthStar again.

We just used North Star this last wknd to move from the South Bay to another location that was closer to my workplace. The crew (Robert, Rodney & Jeffrey) were scheduled to arrive between 8:00 – 10:00, and they were right on time, arriving about 8:30.

I planned my move in about 3.5 days so I was stressing a little. I booked them 2 days before my move. I was so happy they still had openings. Everyone on the phone was super nice.

Great experience. My crew (foreman Artem and his guys Jose, Noe and Quincy, were experienced, considerate and went beyond the call to ensure my things were well taken care of. From their prompt arrival in San Jose to the TLC during packing – despite a slight misstep that I’m assured will be handled correctly – to the arrival at my new home in Morgan Hill, these gentlemen were the absolute best professionals you could have to handle your move. I highly recommend NorthStar and especially this great crew. Thank you!!
Wow! What a killer experience! This is my 4th time using this company and I truly cannot recommend them enough! I had a 3 man crew who were fast, clean, efficient … And… They moved my upright piano which was not ez considering the endless hallways my building had… If you need a moving company please do yourself a favor and look no further than NSM!! Just Terrific!
Just finished the fatest and most professional move of all time! Daly and his crew were prompt, courteous, and above all…fast. I can’t say enough good things. Not a scratch on anything. And best of all…the estimate was for eight hours and the finished in under six!

I am writing to let you know how much I appreciate the outstanding customer service that your staff provided during our office move, during the weekend of March 21, 22 & 23rd, 2014.
It first started with our introduction to the Project Manager, Gadi Avigzer who came and gave a bid on the physical move. He was professional, answered our questions and assured me the move would be successful and I wouldn’t have to worry about anything. It then continued with the Staff I interacted with during the actual move. They were courteous, on time and went above and beyond what was required of them for each of the three days we worked together.
On Sunday March 23rd, the move was completed but they stayed on to help us assemble patio furniture and hang a few pictures around the office – above and beyond and VERY much appreciated.
Gadi checked in a couple of times during the weekend, to make sure all was going smoothly, again awesome customer service.
Because of their efforts, I was able to complete an entire office move of 14 employees in one weekend. You have put together a great team that makes customers feel respected and valued.

Excellent experience. I only had a 2 room move and it was still worth every penny. The movers were friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommended.
