Jason, Rene and Rodolfo(?) were our movers a couple of weeks ago in Oakland. Jason was professional, efficient and fast. They did the best job and were really a pleasure to work with from the time that they called to say they were on their way through departure from our drop off point. We will definitely be asking for them (by name) to help us on our next move! Even our scheduling point of contact based in LA, Jessica, was so nice and very helpful. I couldn’t believe the level of service and prompt turnaround time given my last minute request for movers. Price was also totally reasonable and less than I’d expected (and was willing) to pay. Thank you!

Atem, Noe and Jose did a great job moving us across town.  They worked hard, fast and carefully.  Two of our large pieces had to be taken apart and reassembled.  No problem.  And our biggest heaviest piece, a solid wood teak buffet with glass doors arrived without a scratch.  They did it all in three hours.  Amazing.  We tipped them well.  I would use them again and have already recommended them to a neighbor

I will say I was a little worried at first when 3 small dudes showed up at my house this morning but they got started right away without trouble. 

I had to stop at my storage unit before the final destination and since it was so close (only two blocks away) they waived the drive time. 

Overall my move was quick and painless – 4 hours from downtown to weho and they even put my bed together. I used my Yelp coupon and got a great deal. I would definitely use them again!

I chose Northstar based on the feedback they have received on Yelp.  They did a great job and I was 100% satisfied. Stefy, the agent who took my call. was able to schedule the exact time and day that I was hoping for. 

I was given an 8:00am – 10:00am arrival window and the Northstar Truck arrived at 8am on the dot. The team of moves assigned to me (Francisco, Luis and David) were thoroughly professional and conscientious. They securely loaded the contents of what was equivalent to a 2 bedroom townhouse in exactly 50 minutes!

The entire job from start to unloading everything at my new place, took only 2 hours 45 minutes, much faster than many similar moves I’ve made in the past with other companies. 

They worked hard, quick and were at all times very careful with my stuff.

Stefy followed up with me the next day, completing the customer service trifecta, earning my utmost confidence and highest possible rating.

These guys kick butt! I’m 8 months pregnant and my husband works a zillion hours a week. Even still we somehow thought we’d be able to pack our stuff ourselves in time for moving day. No such luck. These guys were fast, efficient, and thorough and got us in our house in under budget. Would use them again without hesitation.

Just moved yesterday from Rohnert Park to San Francisco. I chose NorthStar because of their reviews on Yelp. Beatriz was super helpful on the phone and answered all my questions. They followed up a few days before the move date to confirm. 

Then yesterday morning, Jason called me at 7am to let me know they would be there at about 8am. I was worried I didn’t have everything ready for them, but once they got there I have never felt so relaxed about moving. They completely took charge and had everything packed and organized in about an hour and a half. Jason was extremely professional and knew exactly what he was doing when I was signing the contract. He quoted me a price that scared me a little, but he assured me it would be much less. Driving to the city usually takes an hour so I was worried it would be more because it is such a large truck. Turns out Jason kept up with me quite well and we were there in no time. It took an hour to unload (up four flights of stairs!) and they were SUCH troopers with our big stuff (we had a large record player and a kegerator that weighs more than a standard refrigerator). Strong is an understatement when describing them. I was amazed at their speediness and work ethic. We joked around and chatted a bit which made everything so calm and easy. It was only 3 1/2 hours total for everything. I was amazed.

They were careful with all of our belongings and I couldn’t thank them enough. Jason gave me the total for everything and then added in the yelp deal that I had purchased. I would have gladly paid double for the service we got. Thank you Jason, Angel, and Rodolfo!

Great people, easy move and the truck runs on biodiesel. Really impressed with professionalism and reasonable rates. We found Northstar movers from another customer who had offered up her boxes for free on craigslist (like we will be doing, pay it forward! It was a tough one down 3 flights, outdoor living room, an office – all from 10 years at same address. But they worked their butts off. It was a long day, and we loved spending the day with the team. They even brought in 2 extra guys to help with moving into the new house for very little extra per hour. Had all the supplies. Will definitely hire again for our next move… But hopefully not for a long time. I’m exhausted!

Best. Movers. Ever. Super professional and friendly. Great experience from the reservation to the estimate to the actual move. The movers did cause some damage to a wall, but NorthStar proactively contacted me to resolve the issue with no fuss or complaints. As context, this was our fourth move in five years.

I found Northstar moving company from a Yelp review. I moved out of state from CA to TX.  From the time Northstar provided me an estimate to when I completed a Claim, I had a good experience. They are very professional in handling any issues or concerns.  They have good quality movers and work very efficiently.  I highly recommend Northstar to anyone who is looking to move.  Cost is very reasonable.

Incredible crew! We have probably used 5 moving companies in the past, but this one blew our minds. It was raining like crazy and these guys came and moved everything in record time. They also called ahead and let us know when they will arrive. They wrapped every little thing with amazing precision and best attitude. Solid crew! They did fast work and we’re polite, helped me pack up the last of my apartment before loading up the truck and did a great job with the actual move. Jason, Rene and Roldof were great. 100% worth the money.
