I had my belongings in storage for a while with NorthStar and when it was time to move into a new place, I had them deliver everything to my place.
The guys called me 30 minutes before they showed up and they were right on time. They worked quickly and moved all of my furniture without any damage. The move was on the fifth floor of a residential building, but that did not seem to slow them or get in their way. They even unpacked and assembled some of my furniture – amazing!
My team was Itzach, Omar and Juanito – all very professional and friendly. They were very organized and all of my things were inventoried and documented. Overall, I recommend NorthStar for both storage and moving. I will definitely use them again.

5 hours door to door across town and unloaded. The whole crew was great, john Henry Wilson III was the team leader and lifted my couch by himself! Christian Aguirre & Luis garza both rocked it. Nothing Brocken, trustworthy and well worth the cost. Highly recommend

I am absolutely amazed with the service I received. This past weekend I hired North Star to move me from SoMa to Western Addition. Jose, Carlos and Allen came a half hour ahead of time and had my entire apartment packed and loaded in the truck in under 45 minutes. Not only did they handle my things with care, they went as far as to set up my new apartment the way I wanted it, including putting my bed frame together. With the Yelp coupon I had, this was an amazing deal! I will definitely be hiring North Star the next time I move.
I’ve had two moves now with Northstar. The latest was with Jonathan, Juan, and Antonio. They again got my move done in record time with no problems. They did their best to be efficient and to take care of my things even though some of my stuff is kinda crappy, they still treated it with respect. The peace of mind the provide with a move is amazing. I don’t have to worry about having enough tape or boxes – they bring extras with them and pack for me. I truly appreciate how they tried to get the time of the move down to 3 hours (the minimum) and succeeded.
Ask for Jonathan, Juan, and Antonio. I had Daly, Miguel, and Alex for my first move.

These guys are great ! Fast , friendly , not a lot of extra charges and trustworthy. $85 for 2 guys and $105 for 3 guys per hr. Worth every penny ! They moved my one bedroom twice for around $400 total. And I have lots of stuff.
I was a little suspicious of all the good reviews on Yelp, but bought a deal (the one on Angle’s list is better–if you’re a member, buy that one…) and tried them anyway. And wow–they were amazing. I have a piano, and lots of stairs on both ends of the move, so they sent four guys. The last time I moved with perhaps even less stuff, my move took about 6 hours. When they arrived, they had me sign an estimate that it was going to take 8 hours and cost over $1000. I was like “Holy #%$!! I should never have hired this company.”
I was also completely unprepared for this move, and had several things that weren’t packed, that I was planning to pack while they were moving the furniture. The move, however, was a whirlwind. Somehow they got everything packed away into wardrobe boxes and wherever, and seriously–my whole entire 2 bedroom apartment was out and in their truck in an hour and fifteen minutes. Insane. I was out of breathe just from watching.
At my new place, I’d just had it carpeted with white carpeting. They covered it carefully with plastic tape and got everything in quickly. Entire moved happened in about 4 hours. After researching many different moving companies, I decided to go with NorthStar and I am so glad I did. With the Yelp deal, it is much cheaper than the other moving companies, so save yourself some time and just book with them! Also, the movers are really friendly and efficient, making the whole process very smooth.

Fast, efficient, honest. Moving precious cargo to a brand new home is a stressful time; NorthStar made it a breezy experience so I could step back and get excited about the new chapter in my life. Good value, great guys, I felt like I was in good hands.
I have used Northstar Movers twice: Once in town between Venice and Culver City and the second time moving across country from LA to NYC. I shopped around quite a bit and both times they had good prices compared to other companies. The guys that packed my stuff and wrapped my furniture were REALLY diligent. Even moving across the country, everything got in here in perfect condition and nothing was missing! It’s always scary trusting a company with all your stuff and they totally came through.
I have moved so many times in my life – domestically and internationally – and this was probably the easiest move I have ever done. Hands down.
