One word – AMAZING!! I typically wrangle my dad and/or my brother to help me move (and I move quite a bit), but let me tell you it is totally worth the money to hire NorthStar Moving than to deal with the crap that your family gives you. 

Communication was excellent during my entire experience and my move from Pomona to Woodland Hills took under 4 hours – and that’s including a nearly 1 hour drive! They were super fast, but also quite careful with my belongings. The movers and everyone else I spoke to at NorthStar were very nice and helpful.

I used NorthStar Moving company in April and they were fabulous. David, Ricardo, & Vidal from the Fremont branch were the movers and I would hire them again in a second. They showed up on time, helped finish packing all of my stuff and did everything very quickly. This was the best moving experience I have had! I highly recommend them!

Ron came over and gave me a free estimate, he then worked with me on the price and gave me a fantastic deal. When the movers arrived they were on time and very professional. They wrapped up all my belongings with care. When we arrived at the new location they carefully unwrapped and placed everything. I had a very good experience with them and will call them again should I move.

SO glad I found and bought the Yelp deal for NorthStar. The company was very accommodating of my rather non-simple move. Jessica, who helped book my move, was very informative, professional and communicative. 

The actual movers: Jason, LaVelle and Vidal were great. They wrapped up my furniture and TV really well to make sure they wouldn’t get damaged during the move. Note that shrink wrap and tape is extra $$– but worth it!  Jason & team were super efficient and moved quickly. They were also very friendly, hilarious and I felt that they really cared about doing a good job.

I had such a great experience using NorthStar – this was my first time actually hiring a professional moving company (historically I’ve bribed guy friends with beer and food to haul my stuff)! My new apartment was only 7 blocks away but this was one of the best investments I could have made. I had such peace of mind and it was done so quickly and efficiently. I picked NorthStar because of (a) the great reviews on Yelp and (b) the Yelp Deal that they offered (really awesome).

I worked with Jessica (ask for her) in the LA office to schedule my move, and she was fantastic — really helpful and also understanding when I had to reschedule my initial appointment. She also followed up with me1 week after the move to check in to see how it went, and how it was going in my new place.

Raymond, Oscar and Lavell Mattthews were my movers for the big day and they were quite the all-star team. Bonus points for being funny and making the experience a fun one — if you can request your movers with NorthStar, I highly recommend them because they made me laugh quite a few times. They also told me I didn’t have that much stuff, whereas I was beginning to think of myself as a hoarder, so the fact they said that really helped my self esteem.

Great experience and I’ll never move without NorthStar to help again! Although hopefully I won’t have to, because as much as I love NorthStar, I really do love my new apartment 🙂

This company is amazing!  I first talked with Jessica in the main office over the phone and she gave me a great deal on the pricing.  She was so nice and very organized.  During my move on 4/20, I had only signed up for 2 movers but the truck showed up with 3 moves at no extra cost!  How many other companies would do that?  My 3 movers Lewko, David G and Alan were fast, professional and very careful with my stuff.  Moving can be stressful but these guys made it go so smoothly.  I highly recommend NorthStar!

Save your time, energy and your BACK by hiring NorthStar Moving Company! They are professional, friendly, fast and trustworthy. I recently moved from Chatsworth to Burbank and it only took 4 hours to move ALL my stuff. 

The last time I moved from Burbank to Chatsworth, it took the whole day. To make things worse, my family and I were sore for days. I will never attempt to move on my own. Leave it to the professionals.

Used them for a quick move from Valencia to Los Angeles (about 30 miles). The longest part was the drive. They were able to load all of my items and unload them in the new place under an hour. No damage done to the furniture and had a mattress cover made for my mattress. They also had boxes to hang my clothes in free of charge. Great service and would definitely use them again.

I recently used NorthStar for my move and currently have my storage with them. 
The moving guys were really great – they were careful with my furniture and belongings and they were very nice to deal with.  I found them online and am very pleased to recommend them to anyone who has to do a move. Their office staff is super helpful too.

We have had to make small and big moves A LOT over the last 6 years.  Office to office.  My parents were moved numerous times from assisted living to assisted living.  Our children to and from college.  At times we attempted to rent moving trucks and do it ourselves.  That never worked well on anyone’s backs and our packing and moving skills are terrible…..so then I foundNorthStar.  They quoted us an extremely reasonable price to move my parents and then handled it in some very tight elevators and narrow staircases.  But they handled it professionally.  So when the time came to move our offices and store some of the furniture and swing by the house to pick up additional storage items (a 3 stop deal), I called Northstar.  We had to work with the office building hours, the storage unit hours and some VERY tight fits around some gnarly corners…and everything was handled TIMELY, without damage and in the time frame estimated.  A few doors had to be removed…they did so and never blinked an eye.  The office personnel (Stepy gets an A+) were spectacular.  Promptly called and confirmed an estimate, followed up the day before the move and made sure (when the times were nip and tuck) to be there BEFORE they promised but didn’t start the clock until all paperwork was completed and they had started moving.  How much more good can I say…not much.  When our office gets reestablished and we need the furniture out of storage…NORTHSTAR please come help us!!

We recently used Northstar for a 2 bdrm move and the guys who came were wonderful.  They were on time, quick, efficient and careful.  Everything got moved within the 4 hour minimum and nothing was broken.  Customer service was also stellar with them even following up with me today to see how the move went.  

Great moving company and with the Yelp deal, great price as well!  Sadly, I already know I’ll be moving again in a year.  At least I know who my movers will be 🙂

This is the third time that I’ve moved using NorthStar Moving. I keep using their services because their staff is also very professional and they have consistently provided quality service. I would highly recommend that you schedule an appointment to get an estimate. They give you a very accurate estimate of what your move should cost and I’ve found that it has never cost more, but instead has cost less than their estimate on occasion.

I will absolutely be calling NorthStar Moving Company again for my next move.

With my history of moving every two years, I can’t say I’m a stranger to the whole ordeal of finding a quality moving company – that said, this was my first local move in over six years, with long-distance moves being a slightly different beast altogether. After comparing several of the top-rated places on Yelp, timelines, pricing, and services resulted in me choosing NorthStar (the Yelp Deal was definitely a big plus as well). 

Scheduling was painless, and communication was on point throughout the entire process. The three guys dispatched to handle my move not only showed up on time, they even got there about 15 minutes ahead of schedule, and patiently ran through the lengthy checklist that my previous building had for moves.

With the majority of my stuff already packed up in boxes, the move itself was fairly painless: they disassembled my furniture, wrapped everything up in the plastic wrap I’d purchased off Amazon (pro tip: buy your own moving supplies – plastic wrap and tape is a LOT cheaper when you get it yourself), while padding things like glass shelves and TVs as necessary (using extra cardboard boxes I scavenged from our recycling room), and helped put all my other clothes and miscellaneous items into the wardrobe boxes they provided as part of the move.

Zip forward three hours from when they show up, and all my boxes had been unloaded, and all my furniture reassembled and put in place – apparently the fastest and cheapest one bedroom (well, half of a 1200 sq ft two bed two bath, technically) they’d ever done!

So, all in all, a quick, affordable, and stress-free move, with only one little mishap, all said and done (a slightly careless kick of a moving dolly left a small dent in one of my walls), with the final bill coming out to a little under $450 after the $60 for $150 Yelp Deal.

The best moving experience I”ve ever had. From the beginning, Kat got the ball rolling with her determined professionalism. The movers were on time and courteous. They hustled and treated my property with care. They moved my piano upstairs without a complaint. Northstar Moving Corp. gets my highest rating.

I’ve used NorthStar on three different moves now, and I would defintiely recommend them. The guys were nice and professional. Everything was quick and easy. Love how they wrapped my furniture to make sure it got there safely. 

The screen door at my old apartment was damaged during the move (hey, stuff happens), so I submitted a claim. The process was super easy and they were able to get me a reimbursement quickly. Really great customer service, they were so quick with following up!

I hired NorthStar Movers on recommendation from a friend who used them in December for her move. I was a FlatRate Movers fan previously, but decided to try out NorthStar. I am so glad I did! They were not only less money, but way better at the whole moving process and so fast and professional. I can’t say enough great things about our moving experience. 

We moved from a two bedroom at the beach to a 4 bedroom in the City and had lots of stairs in both homes. The guys worked their tushies off and didn’t complain for a minute. We probably had about 6 bedrooms worth of boxes and things as we filled two trucks! But they managed to pick up everything and move us into the new place all in one day.

They guarantee their quoted price and since the move took a little longer than originally planned, it would have cost us $500 more, but they didn’t charge us extra. Consummate professionals and I would hire them again without thinking twice.

By far the best moving experience I’ve yet to have and I’ve moved a LOT in the last 15 years!
