This was far and away the best move I’ve ever had. I’ve moved a lot over the last few years, and NorthStar exceeded all of my expectations. The movers arrived promptly, worked quickly, and were helpful and pleasant. It wasn’t the easiest move either, as I moved into an apartment with a narrow staircase so much of my furniture had to be hauled over the patio deck and through the sliding glass door. All of my furniture was handled with care and they did not nick one single thing. I was completely moved into my new place within three hours. I couldn’t have asked for a better moving experience and will recommend them highly.

She emailed us detailed costs, lists of things we needed to do to be sure we were ready, and reminders of the upcoming date. Her follow through was amazing.

I’ve moved a lot in my life and have certainly seen my share of moving companies. NorthStar is my favorite so far. They were so quick, easy and helpful. I’m not the easiest of customers since I wanted some stuff to go to east, some to stay on the west coast, and some to be wrapped very delicately. They even worked with me over the phone without me there with my stuff and went over the pieces. The delivery was just as easy as the pickup. The price was great too, nothing like I ever paid in New York City when I moved cross town.
They were great! Wouldn’t even think of calling another company in the future.
Very reasonably priced and responsible about calling prior to arriving. I appreciated knowing exactly what I was paying for and when I needed to plan to be home. A good man by the name of Gadi helped me with a condo move that i had to do. The move went by flawlessly and i couldn’t have asked for better service.
The movers were also so nice and good natured. They helped me disassemble and move my bed out. As well as wrapped everything in plastic wrap to keep everything safe.
I’ve used Northstar morning many times over the last few years (for local and long-distance moves) and with each move they’ve over delivered and been a joy to work with, from start to finish. I’ve also had the opportunity to refer them to countless of my real estate clients. I have moved with Gadi Avziger from Northstar 4 times in the past 7 years! Seriously, my husband’s work makes us move a lot, and these guys have made it easier and easier with every move. Service is incredible, they are so careful with our expensive furnishings, and they stick to the estimate. The teams (one day before to wrap stuff, and take furniture apart, the next day to actually move) were professional, clean and polite. Nic frequently oversees the actual move, and we love him as well. Professional, courteous, and no surprises. they work with us to make sure all costs are fair and we understand where they are coming from…would not use any other company, nor work with anyone aside from Gadi!

Great service. Loved that they send a person out to you for the Pre move estimate. Very helpful to get some early questions answered and the estimate was spot on.
Just completed a Sunday move with NorthStar Moving. Ron Cohen accommodated me with a Sunday move because rain was forecast for Saturday and it did rain hard. The move was flawless and the job was completed within the estimated price by Ron. The moving crew worked tirelessly until the job was completed with only one short break. They also helped me with a drop off along the route at my daughter’s place. I could not ask for more.
This is the only moving company that sent a human being out to do an estimate — Ron Cohen was extremely professional and helpful. The four men who came to pack and move did an incredible job, treating each piece of furniture carefully. I’ve never seen such excellent packing. The follow up was timely–everything arrived well (it was a cross country move from Long Beach to Orlando). And even though they couldn’t guarantee the delivery exactly — everything arrived one week after pickup.

I just wanted to reach out to you to let you know how much your patience and kindness meant to our team and me during our recent move to Los Angeles. I can tell you that I could not be happier that I was with Carlos Perez and his guys. They were capable, efficient and all had nice attitudes. Carlos was particulary skilled when it came time to break down furniture and put it back together again, remove and replace door handles and a door — he was amazingly quick and skilled. Everything got to my place without a scratch and without damage to the walls and molding of either place. The whole move went quicker than I expected too.
I recently moved from LA to San Francisco. Northstar’s service and professionalism stood a mile out from the competition. During the quote process, Ron was a dream. He took the time to really understand what I was moving, that I wouldn’t be on site during packing, accommodated my last minute dates, explained my options, made recommendations and gave me a very fair quote. And, I knew the quote was all inclusive and that I could trust I wasn’t going to get a different story and add-ons come moving day (which has happened to me more often than not).
Angel and his crew packed my items, and even though I had to manage the move remotely (by phone no less), everything got here, beautifully packed. Ted, Samantha and Cesar were awesome in making sure the details were worked out – and Alberto and Fernando carried everything up – three flights of narrow stairs and didn’t leave until they felt I was taken care of (even after I told them it was fine – they pointed to things that they thought I might want to move from one end of the room to the other – and they were right.)

I just used Northstar for my move from LA to San Francisco. I HATE moving, but Northstar made it as easy as possible. Ron did an in home estimate and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Both the LA and San Francisco moving crews were great! I have heavy, bulky furniture and I never heard any complaints. They packed carefully and efficiently. They even gave me the option to choose between two delivery dates, depending upon what was more convenient for me. I will definitely use Northstar for any future moves!
There are so many horror stories out there, so I was a bit nervous about sending my stuff across country. I did some research and decided to go with North Star. Ron Cohen came to my apartment to give me a quote and he worked with me over the proceeding couple of weeks to alter the price as I omitted and added various items. I had told my fiance that next time we move we’re getting a moving company because I am too beat up for this moving crap.
I had asked around at work if anyone knew of a good moving company and someone did. She had used Northstar and had recommended it to numerous people at the office and raved about how good they were.
Of course telling my fiance this wasn’t enough, she started researching on the interwebs to find out what others had said and all the reviews she found were good.
We had Ron come out to do an estimate. He was friendly, informative and helpful with suggestions. He put our minds at ease with the move which can be overwhelming.
On move day the Northstar crew was on time and wrapped everything and was very careful with all of our furniture. All three were guys friendly and hard working.
On the off load my brother and I went out to get food and beer for our friends who had come over to help (no need, Northstar had taken care of it all) and when we came back the Northstar guys were done unloading!!!
Can’t say enough good things about Ron and his crew. When we move again (and I hope its not for a long time lol) we’re calling out Northstar again.

I called NorthStar to schedule my move because I learned from a search that they were expert piano movers. Not only did they do a great job moving my piano, but the guys were extremely friendly and professional and moved all of my things with care. They took special time to ask questions and carefully handle delicate items. The move went far smoother than I could have imagined. I normally don’t post reviews online, but I HAD to for NorthStar after my move from California to Michigan.
From the very beginning these guys were helpful. An associate (Ron) came to my apartment to give me an estimate on the cost and we set everything up that very day. The night before my scheduled pick up, NorthStar called to confirm my time window along with the amount due that day – which I thought was great of them. My pick-up time window was 8-10am and I had a crew of 3 guys there at 8:00 on the dot. PERFECT. The guys were very nice and had everything securely boxed up within 1 1/2 hours.
The delivery experience was just as great. The driver called me 5 days before my drop-off day to make sure I had his number and reassured me I could call him with ANY questions and let me know he would update me on his whereabouts prior to the drop-off day. He kept his word. Two days before he called to give me my time window and the next day he called to remind me of the time. My delivery window 8-10am and he was there right at 8:00. He had everything unpacked within 1 1/2 hours – exact same as the pick-up.
Moving across country (and in general) is really, really stressful but this company took a HUGE weight off my shoulders. I felt 100% comfortable with leaving all of my personal belongings while they drove it across country and I would recommend them to ANYBODY.

Moving was so easy and smooth thanks to NorthStar. Ron came out and gave an estimate. They beat a competitors rate and provided one more person than the competitor. The move was completed in less time than estimated, so we ended up paying less than the maximum estimate. Movers were polite and hard working. Every piece was moved with no damage.
