Just moved from Hollywood to Playa Vista with NorthStar. When you research the dozen or so main companies that appear online they all sound good and all basically offer the same deals and assurances. I took the time to call them all and to speak with the representatives. NorthStar stood out from the bunch, the rep I spoke with instilled confidence and we got an account exec out to survey our home and estimate what the move would cost. He also gave valuable advice on what we could do to prepare the move and save money. The day of the move we had a 3 man crew who were extremely pleasant to deal with. They were helpful, jovial and super efficient. The leader of the team, Guy, was helpful beyond the call of duty and was able to answer questions, unhook our fridge, hook up our 68″ TV. All went down without a hitch and I strongly advise you to use these guys – do yourself a favour, spare yourself the day or two it takes to shop around…..Oh, and good luck with your move 🙂

The moving company was on time, worked steadily through the day, and was really careful with all our stuff. They even offered to set up a bed and rearrange furniture to our liking.

Guy and his crew were very friendly and extremely efficient and because I got a flat rate, I didn’t have to worry about trying to hurry things along because I was paying be the hour. They didn’t rush through the service, but spent time and care to ensure that everything was done the right way, but still managed to be done fairly quickly.
I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them!

NorthStar Moving was professional from top to bottom, start to finish. From the initial phone call to subsequent calls with questions to the actual day of the move. I especially liked the fact that I could save some money by going to the warehouse in Chatsworth and getting some of the supplies that would be needed both by me prior to the move as well as the crew on the day of the move. There is no question that with the discounted pricing I saved a few hundred dollars!!!! Without any hesitation recommend using NorthStar Moving!! 🙂
First I found NorthStar Moving Corporation on Yelp, you guys had extremely high reviews, so I called you guys and then today, Angel, Jose and Shalom showed up and I must say, they did an amazing job. One thing that really impressed me was that they knew how to dissemble my daughter’s loft bed, because I don’t even remember to know how to do it, that was great. I notice that they took great care not to bump into any walls, not a single scratch on the wall. Not a single scratch on any of our furniture. It’s amazing. I never had such a flawless experience with any movers in my life. I think that they were also very friendly and courteous to work with and I would most definitely use NorthStar Moving again and in addition to that, their rates are really reasonable, so what more can you ask for? They also came very prepared with packing materials which I also felt reasonably priced as well. In general to the trucks to the way they drove their truck, to their punctuality, to their friendliness, to their care with all the furniture, everything was an A+ experience. Thank you very much Angel, Jose and Shalom, you guys did an amazing job. It’s obvious that you guys are upstanding human beings not just inward but outward the world and thank you very much.

Some facts about my experience:
– They were on time – EXACTLY on time.
– They were flexible – EXTREMELY flexible and willing to do whatever we wanted.
– They listened to me – I’m the boss, right?
– They’re quick – really quick.
– They’re meticulous – it’s gonna cost you a couple extra bucks for them to wrap and tape everything, but they do a really good job.
Some advice: Be prepared. You should be completely packed when these guys arrive because they have high energy and are ready to move things. They want to get the job done FAST. Although they’ll also help you pack too if your budget allows (Time=$$$)
We’re not completely unpacked yet but so far the scorecard reads 0 damaged items. Nice work NorthStar.

Hi I am Jeri Davis I hired NorthStar Moving Company to haul my stuff over and they were awesome and they ran into some issues and they handled everything really well and I would totally recommend hiring them.
I was very happy with my move with Northstar Moving Corporation. The movers were great, very friendly and professional. They took good care of all my things and set up everything at my new place. I would recommend them to anyone. I’ve always had problems before with movers not showing up at correct time. Northstar was right on time.
I’ve used them 3 times in 3 months…..I will use no one else.
I’ve never used a moving company before, always stuck to a U-Haul, but the last time I moved, I scratched my grandmother’s furniture, so when I was moving from the SFV to Camarillo, I decided to use movers. I looked on Yelp, as I always do, and decided to try NorthStar Moving. Great from the get go. Customer Service was very kind, and straightforward when it came to pricing. I got a deal because I chose a Sunday rather than a Saturday, and I mentioned Yelp. (Woo hoo! 5% off!)
They called me the Friday before, to confirm. I had a two hour window that they would arrive, between 8 and 10 am, and they showed up promptly at 8:15. (Not even the cable guys can do that!)
3 guys, all very nice, and FAST. Did not take a break, and all in all the move was less than 3 hours. That included moving my HEAVY furniture from the 2nd floor apartment to the truck, drive time (1/2 hour) and unloading at the new place. I highly recommend NorthStar. VERY VERY professional.

You never know with moving companies and I used them twice in the same month for two different moves. The guys were polite and so careful. On the second move, the driver found a short cut to save drive time. I was impressed with that. They handled everything with care. They showed up early. The office people are so cool.

I want to begin by saying I have moved many times local and long distance. This is the first time I did not have any problems with my move. From the first phone call to the last they were courteous, helpful, professional and most of all honest, hard to find with a moving company. This was a long distance move which was stressful enough and it helped that I was able to call, get a call back, and get the info I needed.
