I find myself on Yelp reviews for 1-star and 5-star reviews, but for NorthStar, there are not enough stars to select to equal the exemplary service I received. After a horrific moving experience out of Sacramento, NorthStar came to my rescue. Not only did Kate respond to my request within an hour, the entire team was ABOVE and BEYOND responsive. They always had the RIGHT answer for me too. In a year where I felt customer service was nothing but, NorthStar re-instilled my faith in companies who are there for you.
They were communicative, on-time, friendly and did exactly as they promised. No doubt I would use them again – 100%. For anyone looking for a mover, they are the real deal!

Great experience with NorthStar, Abel and Jorge were the best! They worked efficiently to move all my belongings through a maze of a building with an elevator and expertly loaded my 20 foot Uhaul for a long distance move. They very carefully wrapped all of my furniture in blankets and shrink wrap, which I really appreciated. Everything was super protected. I hadn’t finished packing, so they stepped in (with specialty boxes, paper, and bubble wrap they supplied) and packed fragile items like lamps and artwork. Was so impressed with their professionalism and helpfulness, couldn’t have gotten out of my apartment on time without them! Highly recommend, these guys are pros and do things right.

After reading online Yelp reviews my roommates and I decided to go with NorthStar Moving Company. When we reached out to the company via email the representative we were connected with was incredibly helpful: he provided moving tips, cost estimates, and gave us a general idea of what to expect with the move.
When the day of the move came everything fell into place — no hassles or problems at all.
We hired three movers (Carlos, Roberto, and Mario) and boy did they make our lives easy. They dealt with all of the boxes and heavy furniture with ease. They were on time, communicative, and respectful of our new condo — we had new carpet installed so they put down mats when they moved.
At the end of the move they went over the moving costs and guided us through each expense added to our receipt, no hidden costs!

All of the coordination pre-move day was spot on, detailed, timely and very organized. On move day, my moving team, big shout out to Johan, David and Enrique were awesome. We have moved fourteen times in the past twelve years; sometimes we’ve used movers, and other times we undertook it ourselves. After a number of terrible experiences with multiple moving companies, we were reluctant to use movers ever again. This time we had to, so we bit the bullet, and boy are we glad that NorthStar Moving Company is in this business! We had never used them before, and we only reached out because of reviews like this one; they were amazing! The crew showed up on time, packed and moved two storage units, then drove them eighty miles to our destination without a glitch, without a complaint, and without forgetting about customer service for a split second. I don’t post reviews often, but when I do it’s either because the service was horrendous or because it was exemplary. We recommend NorthStar Moving Company to everyone, and we will use them for all moving needs going forward.

I don’t review often but when I do its for either 5 star of 1 star. In this case the fellas earned 5 star review and for that reason I am here writing it. My condo was on the third floor with no elevator and with a long push to the truck. 4 guys showed up on time and actually completed the move in the unbelievable time frame. It was my first time using moving service and as this company was highly recommended by my relative in the same business in NJ I trusted it would be good. No damages, everything was cared for and all was delivered to the new house and left where we wanted. Amazing service from planning to the handshake at the end of the move. Thank you!

I just completed a cross-country move from LA to New York with NorthStar and it could not have gone better.
I reached out a couple months ahead of my move for a walk through and a quote. Kate on the client loyalty team had a quote for me the same day as my walk through despite the move still being a long time away, and even before I had even found my new apartment. As I got closer to the date, she was so helpful in updating my quote as things changed, including when I had a new address to add as the destination, moving up my moving date by a week, and removing items from my belongings as I trimmed down what I was bringing with me. Always super responsive and super friendly.
On my actual moving day, the movers could not have been better. I packed everything myself except for some larger items, which they handled quickly and safely. They also helped me with a few items that needed to go down to the trash that I wasn’t able to carry myself. The crew was so helpful and so nice.
The last time I did a bicoastal move, it took nearly 8 weeks for my belongings to arrive, so I was prepared for a long timeline again. Not this time. It took just 2 weeks for the movers to arrive in New York from LA! The team in NY was smaller (just 2 guys in NY compared to 5 in LA), but they were still amazing, super friendly, and super fast. And none of my stuff was broken!

I wanted to give my review of Northstar moving company and especially the crew of Albert, Wilber, and Carlos. I was having some of my parent’s furniture moved from their house to mine. It had sentimental value as well as vintage age. I received a 30 minute before arriving call as promised. They arrived and confirmed me and location. They confirmed the pieces to be moved and started working right away. They used moving blankets, shrink wrap, and packaging tape to pad and secure all of my furniture. They moved efficiently and as a team to load and unload my precious belongings. Everything was explained to me along the process and all were very professional. I would recommend this company and crew to anyone.

Jorge J, Albert and Abraham were so kind – such a pleasure to work with. They were extremely efficient, worked very hard and even helped us unpack and organize at our new home.
