I hired NorthStar Moving Company for a cross-country move from Los Angeles to New York State. I couldn’t have been happier with their service. In L.A. the movers took good care of all of my belongings, wrapped my furniture, and even double packed some fragile items for me. I unpacked about 2 weeks ago and nothing was broken or lost! I would choose NorthStar over getting a POD any day. And after doing the math of a POD plus movers on either side, it came out to about the same amount, and it was nice to know that my belongings were being cared for by the same people the entire time. Highly recommend.

I used NorthStar Moving Company for a local move within the Phoenix, AZ area last September. Although a few months have passed, I recently came across my moving bill and realized I forgot to leave a review. I wanted to take the time to share my experience because this company truly deserves it. My movers, Johan and Jesse, were incredibly efficient, organized, and helpful. When you have a positive experience with a company, it’s important to acknowledge it, especially when choosing a company based on online reviews. Reflecting on my decision, I’m glad I chose them. Fantastic movers, quick, professional and trust-worthy. Gil’s communication makes it worth it. He was flexible when I didn’t know my dates, and I ended up having to store items for a month. With a quick text when I was ready, they came on a Sunday! Then came back and picked up my empty boxes. So nice.
We recently used NorthStar Moving Company for a long distance move from Los Angeles to Houston and had an excellent experience. Ron came to our house for the initial quote, which was lower than competing national van line companies. We did full service with packing/moving – which went very smoothly and we did not encounter any issues. Moving trucks (Wilberto and his team) delivered our furniture one day earlier than expected and everything arrived without damages – not one item was broken (all mirrors intact and not a single piece of glassware broken). The packing and loading/unloading was done really well, and honestly I was very impressed with this company and happy with how stress-free our move was.
The best! We had a massive move for a client and they did not disappoint. Israel and his team…. Chris, Eulalio and Rodolfo were amazing! And polite! And careful!! It was a mammoth undertaking and they were top notch.
My experience with NorthStar was nothing short of spectacular. We were moving over 2800 miles from CA to the East coast and I shopped around a lot to get several quotes. NorthStar wasn’t the cheapest quote but I think that, had I gone with a different company, I would have faced excess charges at some point down the line… In my opinion, NorthStar gave me a carefully and thoroughly assessed quote and saved me money in the long-run.
From the virtual assessment with Ron, I could tell the company really cared about their customers – Ron called me less than an hour after the zoom appointment to notify me that my delivery address had a 4 ton truck limit and that any company that I got a quote for would need to shuttle our belongings (we had a LOT of stuff) to the door.
On pickup day, our crew; Luis, Cesar V, Juan and Jose were friendly, professional and really efficient; carefully wrapping and transporting our furniture and boxes into the back of their 26ft truck.
During transport, Alejandra kept me updated with estimated arrival times. She was always ready to answer any questions and was very polite and knowledgeable.
On delivery day, Ilan and his crew were just as efficient at unpacking our belongings as the pickup crew were in CA. They were friendly, courteous and experienced. They checked where everything was being delivered to and made sure it arrived there safely.
Overall, I would 100% recommend NorthStar to any friends or family. They were awesome. It’s clear they care about their customers and take pride in their business.

I used them for a local move from a townhome to a condo. I packed most things up, mostly leaving furniture for them to move. They did a good job disassembling everything, packing it up, and labeling to make sure that when they disassembled it, it was all correct. They were diligent in making sure that they assembled things correctly, and even pointed out a layout error I had made (wanting to place my bed blocking a heating vent, and suggested a tweak to avoid the problem). They worked fairly quickly, and I had no damage to anything at all in the move. The price was fair, and they didn’t try to drag out the work any longer to rack up the price, either.
I did a local move today from pac heights. I was worried about my heavy furniture making it from my old place into the new one but Carlitos, José and Jesús did such an amazing job! I appreciate that they were quick to load and unload my belongings, and did it very carefully despite the busy streets. Carlitos even took the time to chat towards the end of the service which was very kind and a much needed distraction from the stress of moving. This is my second time using NorthStar to move during my time in the city and they do not disappoint in their quality of service, professionalism or price point- I would give 10 stars if I could.
I highly, HIGHLY recommend NorthStar Moving Company. We had to relocated due to the Eaton fire and on the morning the moving truck was scheduled to show up there had been a mudslide on our street, blocking access. We were so disappointed because we assumed the move just wouldn’t be possible. I called them while they were en route to let them know what happened but they said they wanted to first come check it out. They showed up with the truck and a 4×4 they had rented, surveyed the situation and then got straight to work making countless trips back and forth up to our house to load, then unload down at the truck parked below. Not once did I notice any sign of them being inconvenienced or annoyed – in fact they couldn’t have been kinder, offering reassurance. They worked fast and were thorough; packing up our items in boxes and using furniture pads to keep everythign protected. They really made it happen when they could have easily canceled to reschedule
We hired NorthStar for a local move and it all went off smoothly and without a hitch. The movers were efficient, super careful with our items, and pleasant to work with. They were unfazed by challenges including having to carry several very heavy pieces of furniture up a flight of stairs, and disassembling and reassembling a big old desk. And the price was reasonable. Would highly recommend!
We have used Northstar three or four times in the last 10 years. It’s always been a great experience. On-time, careful, nice people. The crew this time was Eliezar Z, Seguii, and Emmanuel. You could tell they came to work!… no messing around.
As usual, NorthStar is the best. Don’t even remember if this is my 3rd, 4th, or 5th time using them but I never see a reason to switch up and go with anyone different for my moving needs. They are always thorough, detailed, fairly priced, and most importantly careful and accommodating. This go around Eliezar and Emmanuel were the guys tasked to the job and they were rockstars, it was a 5 star experience as usual. Thank you fellas and thank you Northstar!
I had a move from Altadena to Alhambra and it went smoothly. Eliezar Z. and Milton were both great at moving all of our stuff! Me and my girlfriend had already moved our valuables and fragile things separately, and put everything else in boxes. Eliezar and Milton were experts at knowing how to break down the bed and mattress and keep them safe and clean. They also handled the couch very well! Especially considering how we lived on the second floor and only had stairs, no elevator. We were very grateful with their help, and they even offered to move one of our bigger potted plants with no issue. We were worried the plant would be damaged in the back, but they assured us they knew how to properly secure it and told us that all of the items in the back were strapped down securely. Sure enough it arrived safe and sound! They charge a minimum of 4 hours (3hrs minimum plus double time on the drive) and overall came to about the same price as other competitors, but I genuinely appreciated their customer service! Valery called us back whenever she missed our call and helped us with the process. Very glad we went with Northstar Moving.

The process of moving was made very simple when I selected NorthStar Moving. I contacted Lotem for a quote which was quickly given over the phone, followed by a written quote via email. Eliezar, Jose, Jose, and Andrew arrived on time and quickly wrapped and loaded all the items carefully.
Eliezar and Feliciano arrived on time at the destination 430 miles away, unloaded and unwrapped everything and placed all the large items where I needed them. I can’t say enough good things about this company.
Dispatch was helpful and precise. they took me as a last minute booking and when the guys showed up they were super nice, efficient, and fast! They listened to what I wanted and got what I needed done.

Manny and his team; Willy and Santos, did a wonderful job. They came into my place this morning and packed it right up within two hours then took it all over to my new place and unpacked it along with my stuff from storage. They built my couch, coffee table, desk, bed frame and more! It was stress free on a day that I thought would be super stressful.
